Another update (gender, too!)

I had an appointment this AM and talked many things over with my
doctor.

My chances for a vaginal birth are good so long as both babes are head
down or that the one closest to the cervix is head down. He said
normally the breech/transverse one will flip after the first one is
born, if it doesn't, they'll try to turn it, and then if it still
won't turn, c-section. I have to make it to 35 weeks to deliver at our
hospital, if it's before that (which I hope and pray it's not) I'll
have to go to Columbus (1 hour away) with the perinatologist.

I see the perinatologist on June 29 for an u/s to check the babies and
to check my cervical length. Then I see my doctor on July 13.

He said he's 80% certain we're having two boys! But doesn't want to
say for sure b/c the u/s stuff still wasn't in my file. We'll know for
sure on the 29th! DH is relieved that it's not two girls, he said
he'd move out if it was.

About DH's comment re the two girls. My DH says he doesn't know what he will do with one more girl if we have one, so he feels your DH's pain!

That is great that the doc is staying so positive about a vag birth. Keeping everything crossed for you

Good news about them being so open to a vaginal birth - even if the second one is breech. It seems that they often do flip naturally to head down after Baby A disappears into the unknown from what I've read.

Hoping for 35 weekers at least, so you don't have to make the drive to Columbus!

Great news Mama!! Two boys to join your two little girls! Any idea if they are identical?

Wow! What fantastic news!

Where do you live in OH? DH grew up in Cleveland, his parents live in Brunswick now. We are driving out there to visit next month--ugh! Not only are the in-laws difficult, but I'm not relishing the idea of 12 hours in the car with a 3 year old!
