Pattern for Wool Interlock Cover (like Luxe)

Hi there

Ok I am wanting to make my DS a wool interlock wool cover (like Luxe and Woolie Bottoms, etc) -- the pull up kind that has ribbing at the waste and around the legs... any one know where I can find a pattern for that??

Thanks!

The pattern I use is free:

http://www.thenappynetwork.org.nz/im...a_Knickers.pdf

I make this with one layer of cheap fleece (or an old 100% poly fleece pullover from a resale shop) or I use old wool or cashmere sweaters. I made the rise a bit higher, and the crotch a bit trimmer and it fit my ds from 1 year approx. to 2.5 years! It is easy to play around with and so easy to sew. I make my leg bands a bit longer so it comes out like a cute pair of shorts.

I have just found this pattern and I have one of these covers and like it:

It is $15 but might be worth it!

I also know that a woman (I can't remember her name off hand) is working on a pattern at:

http://diaperdivas.proboards57.com/index.cgi

I think she will be selling it soon and I have seen her testers and they are nicer than Luxe's. I can't wait to get one since everyone raves about them, and they are supposed to be super easy to sew! Check out that message board since it is chock full of great ideas and the women are so nice!

Oh, I am so waiting to get my hands on that pattern too. I like the look of the wee weka, but I am making dipes for a newborn, and I have no idea how to resize it!!!

You are in luck! I have done this. My ds was 6.5 pounds and 20 inches at birth and it fit with my adaption, and now he is 11.5 pounds and approx. 23 inches and it still fits over all of his fitted and PFs.

I shrunk the pattern to 80%. Then I made a piece of fleece 15 inches long, 3.5 inches wide and used that, folded as the waistband. The legs were 9 inches long, 3 inches wide, then folded. They fit perfectly (and are made of one layer of cheap Walmart printed fleece) and work great! If my diaper underneath is completely soaked then it does get slightly damp on the outside (like at night when he sleeps for 4-5 hours) but as a day cover or when he is changed regularly it is leakproof, even when he is laying on cotton.

Awesome - thanks for the great info and links...

Now does anyone know where I can buy wool interlock from?

Hi Alison,
I found a couple places with it after looking for about 6 hours.

http://www.celticclothswholesale.com/

I have a couple emails in with mass suppliers, but you need a wholesale license and order at least 20 yards to get a discount with them.

Good luck!
