So basically I just have to decide what to give him and then pack it. Problem is that it has to be a cold lunch since we don't do microwaves. Any ideas??? Beyond the pasta salad or ham and cheese or cold meatloaf (he loves that - ugh to me!)

LOL! This is what my DH does as well. Drives me nuts! Over time though he's gotten to the point where he'll tell me "don't put onions or garlic in my lunch" or "don't give me that again" or "pack it differently next time, it made a mess", etc.
I pack my DH leftovers (as I said above), but he never heats up his lunch. Never. He eats it cold/room temp. And honestly, for most (meat) things that prevents it from being overcooked anyway. If you want to pack him something that will stay warm, I'd recommend looking into soup (wide-mouthed) thermos or we have a
Mr. Bento

I did want to say that at all the white and blue collar jobs I have worked, the peer pressure to eat out is tremendous. Sometimes you are mae fun of, and a little bit isolated for bringing your lunch (seriously). The people in my office eat out at $10-$20 per plate places!!! EVERY FREAKING DAY. If I go, I at least try to get them to go to $5 chipotle.

This is the work culture I was in at my last job. Actually at every job in that industry I've had. Everyone goes out. Even when it's slammed, someone takes up a collection and does take-out. The culture is very difficult to buck. That culture kept me living paycheck-to-paycheck before I met DH. I was making good money, only paying $300/month in rent, no car payment or utilities, but I couldn't save any money because I was eating out every single day.
I was very happy that I got DH into the habit of taking his lunch before he got his current job because they all eat out as well (young bachelors). But since he brings his in he can work through his lunch and come home that much sooner.
