My baby boy has arrived!!!!! I am so happy he is here!
His name is Edward Michael. He was born June 15, 2007 at home, unassisted and in the water. I was awaken by some serious diarrhea at 4:30 am (sorry tmi...) I felt like the laxative scene from Dumb & Dumber!!!
I just thought I was having those type of cramps. Welp, at around 5:30 my water broke while I was on the toilet. Then I knew that I was going to have a baby. The ctx got really bad and I had the urge to push. I had my dh call the midwife and fill up the tub. Ten minutes later my boy made his appearance. His cord was wrapped around his neck and I was able to free him from it. My midwife arrived at the second afterwards. So at 5:55am, my liitle boy was born. Not to brag, but I pushed once and my boy came flying out!!! My wishes for an unassisted hb came true. So that would be approx. 20 seconds of pushing! No tears and he is a pretty good nurser.
His stats were 10 lbs, 1.5 oz..... 21 inches long. He was duw on the 8th and arrived at excactly 41 weeks. I would love to post pics but I have never figured out how to do it. Maybe I can put a link to my family's web-site....
