Hi there, i am struggling to find UK suppliers of PUL and microfleece to make pocket diapers. Can anyone out there help? If anyone has any spare fabric, I'd be prepared to buy it from you. Many thanks, karen

Have you looked at Babeco? they sell nappies but also have an online catalogue including bamboo and other terry fabric. I'm quite sure they have PUL too.

Microfleece you can get from Point North and doesn't seem to expensive.

babeco

I have ordered from them this weekend. The only problem is that they only sell white PUL and they don't think it can be dyed.
I think the prices look more expensive when they're compared to the US prices. They can pick the fabrics up for half of what we can in the UK and they have a huge choice of colours and patterns. It'd be great if a manufacturer here spotted the huge gap in the market and filled it!

Everything is more expensive here including fabric in general Don't even start looking at sergers (overlockers) and snap presses

Someone at Diaper Sewing Divas tried painting white PUL and had success with it. I believe she used acrylic paint that had been thinned with water. If you're interested, I can find the thread and post the link.

I already have. I don't understand why they charge more. These things cost
the same amount to make. I guess we're just daft enough to pay their prices!!! :

I would be very interested thanks, it'd definitely make them unique. (especially considering my lack of artistic talent. Might be better off to get ka to decorate her own!!!) :

I think you'll have to join DSD in order to view the posts (if you're not a member already!), but here is the original thread: http://diaperdivas.proboards57.com/i...ead=1175227671
and here are the updates on how the paint withstood washing:

If you want only a small amount (1-1.5 yards) at a time, it doesn't cost very much to send it overseas from the US. In fact, the other day I sent something to Croatia for the same exact price that I sent it to someone in the states.

I decided it was easier just to buy the covers : but I did find this site selling PUL http://www.weenotions.wahmall.co.uk/traderplus/? before I gave up

I've also seen it on ebay a few times.
