Anyone else past their due date? - Page 2

: I am 41 wks and 2 day. We have a scheduled induction planned to start sat. night. I want this baby to come naturally so bad. I am trying to fight off thoughts about not trusting my body. DH are trying everything under the sun to naturally help labor along. I really need to work through these feelings and begin accepting my birth experience no matter how it turns out. All in all, I just want to hold my little angel! But for myself , i don't want to have regrets or whatever about my birthing time. Anyways, at this time baby is fine. passed NST with flying colors, fluid looks ok. So we will see......

41 w 3 days today. It's hard thinking that out of the blue, at any minute of any day labor can start just like that, and then going day after day without it starting at all. I awoke to a contraction at 3 this morning- I thought IF this is it, I could be holding my baby by 9. Alas, I awoke at 7, no more contractions, no baby.

I'm sorry we're all going through this rough waiting period, mamas! I can feel your frustrations (I'm feeling them too, BIG time).
Yesterday I had my first non stress test (baby was doing perfectly) and have another on monday and a sono to check fluid levels. I've been so upset about being "late" and now am in pretty bad pain from something (sciatic nerve pain? pinched nerve? I have no clue).

Also...get this...I have a yeast infection! When I figured it out yesterday I just started laughing hysterically, then burst into sobs. Poor dh looked scared out of his mind until I reassured him that I'm only really overwhelmed and just want my body to feel "normal" again.

I know you're all there with me. I'm praying that each and every one of us gets through this waiting time and can hold our dear little ones SOOOOOON!

Sending out love and hugs to all of you!!!

Today is my due date, and I have no signs of baby's arrival.... I didn't count on having her by now, but I'm surprised at how impatient I am today. I can't believe it could be another couple of weeks!

Oh you poor thing Savvybabygrace. I have weird stuff happening to my body right now too. I just got a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot that makes it really uncomfortable to walk. Where did that come from?
What are you guys trying with the EPO? Orally or applying it to the cervix? Is it a form of prostaglandins?

Hello,
another day has passed, no baby. I go in tomorrow for a NST and ultrasound to check fluid levels again. then start induction on sat. night. if there isn't any action.
Keir,
I loved your response to your new health issues. That sounds like me laughing then crying! I totally know what you mean about wanting to feel normal again.
Workinmama,
I have been doing EPO vaginally. I don't know if it is a prostiglandin, but our doula recommended using it with some love makin!
Our bodies are amazing that we have carried a babe for this long! But man, it can do some crazy things...I have got a rash that popped up all over my bady in the last three days: Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP), it is incredibly itchy and driving me CRAZY. :

soon we will be on the other side of this, looking at our little babes, telling others "It's all worth it"!!!!!!!!

Ugh. Having a hard time here. Haven't been out of the house since Wednesday (can't get up the stairs) and am really feeling overwhelmed. Guess the laughing is over for me! (but you know, even as I type this, I can crack a smile at how silly it is to be this upset right on the cusp of meeting my new daughter).

Borobaby, I hope action begins soon and that the PUPP quits driving you crazy!
Workinmama, I'm doing EPO vaginally - trying everything here!

Kier- sorry you're stuck in the house.

Had my last prenatal massage today, I refuse to make another appt b/c I cannot handle being pregnant for another week.

If I don't have signs of labor today, I'm going for acupuncture tomorrow.

It's gotta be anyday now, right???

At least I got my oil changed & had my car inspected.

Think I might go get some EPO later.

Hang in there Mamas!!!!!!

jbobys- lower is better...progress, yeah!!! hang in there, I'm 40wks, 6 day overdue & have my tests on Tuesday.

So my best friend, who has a toddler & was 2 wks early, sent me an e-mail the other day with "Why are you STILL pregnant" & "Tell Ian to come out" in it. Like, what the hell?? I know she's probably just trying to commiserate, but do I need reminders that I'm STILL pregnant? She is such a defensive person that I am afraid to talk to her about anything let alone a "mistake" she's made. Believe me, if she had been overdue & anyone said some that she didn't like, she'd have bitten their head off. Anyway, I sent her response to her e-mail saying that I need extra sensitivity from my friends, put yourself in my shoes, etc. I hope it works. At least I got my cousin to stop making "joke" calls of "Have you had your baby yet?"

My canned response to acquaintances who ask "When are you due?" is "Anyday". Mentioning that I was due seems to evoke a response I don't care for, like there's something wrong with me.
