Procare instead of PUL?

Just wondered if anyone has tried this for pockets or covers. They sell it at wazoodle diapershop. It says on the site that it can be used to make diapers, but I was reluctant to order any without asking around first.

I bought 5 yds of ebay, but haven't tried it yet.

I haven't ever used this, but I'm wondering if it has that same slippery/sticky problem when sewing? The Wazoodle website says the waterproofing is extruded through the knit rather than laminated to it, so I assume this means the whole fabric is waterproof rather than just the coated side like in PUL?

Procare is a bit stiffer than PUL. PUL has a bit of give and stretch while Procare doesn't. That isn't to say it shouldn't be used for diapers but it is different.

I don't like the stiff feel. I don't even like woven PUL I like the soft and silky feel of 1mil knit PUL. So clearly I really don't like the feel of ProCare.

It's not bad, it's just too stiff for me. It's good for lap pads, changing pads and waterproof bed protectors though.

I've always wanted to use this sign, but never have the patience to find it *true dat* pp!

I've used it, it's thicker then pul, and much easier to sew with imo. I've had no problems with it. Sews great, works great. It does make the cover a bit thicker and stiffer until it's been washed a few times. I like it a lot!

I have a bunch of Procare. I have used it for diapers/pockets, and it's GREAT. Much easier to work with, and much more waterproof. The downsides are that it's ugly and it doesn't breathe at all.

Is that the material that kushies are made out of? They have an incredibly durable leakproof cover compared to PUL but its a bit less soft/flexible.

Pretty much! It does wash up pretty soft though. Use the fabric side out for covers and pockets. It also makes great wetbags!

I agree with pp. Easier to work with, but stiffer and less breathable. As for the ugly---i just cover up the procare layer with other stuff.
