My first client is due this week!

I'm half excited, half nervous.. what makes it even better is that I JUST got the news today. I met with her two weeks ago and told her to go ahead and give me a call if she wanted me, no pressure. I thought it fell thru, which made me incredibly bummed because that would mean id have to wait until the end of august to do a birth.... then she called me today. I'm so happy!

Any advice?

Um, get those prenatals in asap! : I get two or three clients a year at the last minute. As a matter of fact, I'm meeting with a couple this week who's due in three weeks. We've never met, so we have a lot of face time to get in, to be sure that I know her and her needs well enough to be effective.

In general, though, you'll probably just know what to do when its time to do it. You'll do well, you need to trust that.

And...HAVE FUN! I love going to a birth, and always feel sooo privledged to have been invited. I do try to remember to tell the parents that, as well, when it's all over.
