Hi Everyone! I'll introduce myself. I'm Alana and my baby, Naomi is 5 1/2 months old. She was born January 2, 2007 and my husband, Nate, deployed January 5!!! So DH hasn't seen her since she was 3 days old. Just long enough to bring us home from the hospital. He is due back home in 2 weeks and I am sooooooo excited!!!
I BF Naomi- she's never even had a bottle of pumped milk! Only milk straight from her mommy! (I'm pretty proud of that!!) We also co-sleep and baby-wear. I am very adamant about nursing in public....normalize breastfeeding, nurse in public!!! yay! I'm a SAHM. I am 24, DH is 26.
LOVE the mothering site!!! I've never posted but I read threads that helped me get over thrush. AGAIN, great, great site.

Hello! That is sad that your husband hasn't hardly seen her, but I'm glad he is coming home soon. My baby is 7 months & he has never had a bottle either. I've given him some milk in a sippy cup, but he just likes to chew on it more than drinking it. We haven't even started solids. Anyway sorry I got carried away.

Hey Alana!
My name is Kimie and I'm a PROUD NAVY WIFE and a mother of two beautiful girls. My husband and I call them MAK 1 & 2 I didn't get to breastfeed my first child whe got some brest milk in the bottle for three months but I couldn't produce enough brest milk and I couldn't get her to latch on so finally I had to give it all up. I've felt so guilty about it ever sence. She had a very bad case of jaundice and had triple light theropy. I am so thankful though that I have a good support team with my youngest daughter and a wonderful mid wife who got me through 2 bouts of manstitis and clugged ducts. ouch painful. Mak 2 has had bottles but it either had brestmilk or water in them.
My prayers are with you and your husband as they arrive home in two weeks! You go girl!!!!!!

Hey Susan,
Where are you stationed in Italy? Napels right? My husband is currently recruiting in Alaska, but he's a bandsman and the detailer is wanting to send us to Italy in 2009. How do you like it over there?
