pumpers: I have a question about nights

Do you get up to pump at night. I'm especially curious to hear from the EPer's out there.

How long will you go between last pump of the night until first pump?

I used to pump EVERY 4 hours no matter what, at first. After 9 weeks, when I went back to work and after my milk was well-established, I started skipping my middle of the night pumping. I'd gone down as low as 3 to 4 sessions a day, but now I'm only making 32 ounces a day and I need 40 ounces a day.

If I had it to do over again, I would try to keep a single late-night pumping, as apparently that's when you have more ability to affect hormone levels that will help keep your supply up.

I pump right before I go to sleep, usually around 11. I also pump whenever dd wakes up to eat (she only wakes up once) usually at around 4 am. I actualy find that I get the most milk in the middle of the night so I don't want to give up that session..
