Is Dom causing my AF to be all wierd?

I started taking Dom like 3 weeks ago. My last cycle lasted only 25 days and it's normaly 28-29 days, exactly!! So what the heck is going on? The only thing I can figure is that the Dom is causing this. Oh and on my 2nd day of AF it just stopped for 12 hours and then had spotting until day 6 and then it stopped. Then today, day 9, I am spotting ALOT of pink. Sorry for TMI!!! I typically have heavy af until day 3 and then just spot from day 3-7 and then DONE. Has anyone else been affected by Dom like this?

In short, probably.

Domperidone messes with your prolactin levels and high prolactin levels typically deter a return to menses. I would guess that it would also make your cycles unusual. My experience has been a delayed return to fertility (thoguh this is my first, maybe I would have gone 10+ months anyway?).

Thank you ErinBird!

Well, I googled prolactin levels and I found some good info and it has helped me to understand all that goes on and what's needed to produce breast milk. I also read this ""The major effect of increased prolactin is a decrease in normal levels of sex hormones — estrogen in women and testosterone in men.", Oh man, no wonder I have not been in the mood to dtd with dh and that explains why I didn't have an orgasm the last two times.

My question is, will I go back to normal levels once I stop taking Dom? I guess I am scared of messing with things when I was already so normal. It also helps understand that my prolactin levels must have dropped 3mo pp cause that's when I got my AF and that's when I started to dry up. Interesting..

I'm going to cut back a little on the amount I am taking to see if that will balance things out more. I miss having fun with my hubby! :P
