Yes, I remember watching in 1999-2000 and there were lots of homebirths on TLC's Baby Story show.

I felt compelled to watch it too when pregnant, and then i would complain to Dh every night about how horrible it was.
Then I found I starting having nightmares about Csections, forcep deliveries, etc.... No more TLC for me!

When we took our Bradley classes, we got to watch some GREAT videos of natural labors. In all settings - hospital, birth center, home, waterbirths, etc. It was so empowering. And really cool to actually get to see the baby crowning and being born. I would look forward to class every week, and the videos too.

Good books like Birthing from Within were a godsend too.

Here in the UK they just started a brand new series a few weeks ago called "Home Grown Babies" It deals EXCLUSIVELY with homebirths!! It is beautiful and I absolutely fantastic!! Knowing how many UK show ideas are bought by US tvs and made their own, maybe this is one you guys may push for!

TLC and Discovery baby shows are not good for my health! I keep screaming at the tv and throwing the remote at it!

I agree, TLC needs to have a natural birth show, so more mommies can see that childbirth is just a normal way of life, and not something that the entire medical team needs to freak out over. Plus, it would show mom's that giving birth is easier if you are upright, rather than laying flat on your back (as you seen constantly on A Baby Story).
Plus, I also think that A Baby Story needs to branch out more. All the shows I have seen lately have been in either New York or California.

I do like that House of Babies show, but I wish they'd show more births that were not water births. One show I HATE is Birth Day. Its just one intervention after another.

This is what I was going to suggest. Very pro-natural birth, pro-breastfeeding, lots of waterbirths, family involved. It's not perfect, but definitely the best "birth documentary" show available here. Runway Moms (also on Discovery Health channel) is sometimes really good too, I've seen a handful of homebirths, as well as natural out of home births. (And they usually allude to the birth plans early on so you can turn it off if you see it heading to a very interventive birth.)

Also, if you check out YouTube, often mamas will post their birth videos so if you do a search for Homebirth, Waterbirth, or Natural Birth you might find some that are very nice.
