Aren't you hungry?

My 5 month old is nursing less at night and sleeping more which would be great if my breasts didn't get to full. He is also eating less during the day and I seem to be making more milk than he needs. For a little history he has always eaten every hour during the day and now he isn't even making it clear whether or not he is hungry after two hours. By the time he eats he is as tired as he is hungry so he falls asleep before he empties even one breast. I think the milk is flowing too fast as well and upsetting him.
Is it possible he has been thrown off by seeing his Daddy again after being away from him and being away from home for about a month. Any info or advice?

How long has dh been gone? Has he started using new care products like soaps or antipersperant or cologne? He might just take a simple bath and smell like himself and cuddle the baby in the dark with you. Spend some good family time together. Maybe everyone could take a bath together, if baby is pro-bath lime mine is, put the baby in the middle and reassure him.

Is it possible to offer the breast more times during the day? Again, quiet time at home, just the three of you could help. And lots of skin-to-skin time for baby with you, and with Daddy.
