Plus size pregnancy new thread #3 - Page 3

Yeah, I think I did hear that about vitamin C. I don't take megadoses of that anyway, because I read something that the more you take, the less efficiently your body processes it or something, and then if you stop taking the high dosage you can end up with something related to scurvy for awhile as your body starts to be able to absorb it better. Or something like that, I don't remember now. I have some 250 mg tabs, but I don't take them regularly since I take a prenatal.

Kathy, I didn't find the double plus style of the Bravado gave me a uniboob, but that is probably because my breasts are smaller than the cup size. I think the double plus style is considered an F/G cup, and I normally would wear a D/E cup. But the single plus style didn't work at all as my breasts would just flop out of those cups even though that was supposedly my size. In the double plus, instead of my breasts being mashed close to my body like they might in a jogging bra, they just kind of hang out there. You can see I have breasts, but the outline is not very attractive, if you know what I mean--kind of saggy with not a lot of definition. I like the ones that make me more cone shaped and uplifted

Oh, congratulations about the good blood pressure, KJ!
At my prenatal today, my blood pressure was higher again so my bedrest was increased to two hours on my side, one hour up, two hours down again, etc. The ultrasound showed the baby is head down but they are somewhat concerned about the placenta degrading some and lack of fetal movement and tone. The lack of movement was bizarre for me cuz I feel lots of movement. But they felt another non-stress test was needed. And a 1 hour appointment turned into three and I was so hungry so maybe that is why baby was not moving. They were not confident with the results, so I am having another ultrasound on Friday at the perinatal clinic to be monitored and most likely another non-stress on Monday.

My cervix is closed and I am 20% effaced. They also encouraged me to schedule a c-section for later if I go past forty weeks, which I could pick any date, so I picked August 14 which was my favorite Uncle Tom's birthday.

The fun news......looks like I will be having a 8.4 pound baby and the tech knows the sex so if I decide to call, I can.

Anyway it is hard to type on my side and I cried a bit today about my blood pressure, bedrest and all the hype but at the moment I am fine

KJ,
sorry about the bedrest mama. I know how it feels. I was in the hospital at 18 weeks with the girls and on complete bedrest at home after that. I know it can get depressing. What perinatology group do you see? I see MN perinatology for all of my apts since I have issues with blood clots etc.Hoping the next few weeks fly by and you get that VBAC!

gbs was negative, had a non stress again yesterday and had blood work done too, all was fine, having an ultra sound again on friday to make sure placenta and fluid looks okay still. it has been a pain feeling like a ping pong ball but I know high blood pressure makes them be extra careful so I am on a two tests and two prenatals a week till this baby comes.

Meanwhile I am to relax and I appreciate all the help I have received with Charlie, cleaning and meals but I am a wreck. DH is still remodeling with every minute he has. Charlie needs his attention. I need him to focus with us and I am feeling very sad and hurt about this. It will be great and beautiful but baby is due a teeny bit more than two weeks. Send me positive vibes cuz I am feeling sorry for myself at the moment.

Are you taking Epsom Salt baths several times a day to keep the BP down. We also recommend drinking lots of water and increasing you protein intake and salting to taste. Saty calm and be peaceful.

kaje62 Both of my angels and losses, thier names are after the angel. I love your name for a little girl though.

I am 27 weeks and starting to feel a little frantic at all the preperation I need to do for baby. I got DH building a cabinet closet area yesterday (we have a tiny house and the extra bedroom already has 2 rods in the closet and 2 dressers for our kids!) Everyone keeps saying I still have 3 months, but you can't tell a thing to a pregnant woman who has suddenly gotten obsessed with preparing for baby

:

Hope you all are well.

Not sure If I let you all know, (seems I have posted and told everyone I know) We had out level II last Tuesday. It's a boy most definately and he is very healthy! We will name him mason but dont have a middle name yet. Bad news is my BP was 140/88 at my last apt, they wanted me back in 2 weeks to recheck. Doc is allready talking about taking me off work, we so cant afford that right now. I have disability coverage but it is 65% of my pay, I have only been working half time, My plan is to bump up my hours to full time for a short while until I am sure my disability will cover us. Anywho how is everyone else?
kaje How are you feeling mama? You are getting so close! that VBAC is in sight!

btw here are some pics of Mason

No doubt labor is hard. I have had 2 unmed births, but the recovery is a dream. When you are done your dome kwim? You will feel great and can get right up eat shower etc. After having my first VBAC I was so amazed at how great I felt whn it was over. It is scary but I KNOW you can do it!

I'm still here. : Babe seems determined to say put. LOL Hopefully he/she will make an appearance soon.

I'm still here playing the waiting game.

I'm ready to become a hermit. I can't go anywhere in town without someone we've met in our favorite haunts eyeballing me and saying "not yet, huh?" . Well, isn't that obvious?? I'm feeling so miserable these days that I'm down-right mean!

If there's no baby by tuesday, I start seeing the midwife twice a week. I dread it because the anxiety level is just going to climb. We're so close now that all I do is worry that there will be something to keep it from happening for me. I just want this vbac so much I guess I'm afraid of losing my chance.

I hate that I don't know the correct due date for this little guy. I don't know if I have any reason to worry or not so I worry anyway.
