I saw this on a pro-circ board I just wanted to see if this had already been discussed and refuted.

I'd actually have to see the study. (wtf does it matter if their arm temps were different?) I;d have to see how they are comparing temperature= sensation. And what questions were asked and which parts of the penis they tested

I know a recent study claimed there was no decreased sensation but only tested two points, and neither point was the foreskin itself!!!

It seems that study also only looked at 20 circed and 20 uncirced. Er, not too good of a sample size there...

Hmmmm...so they measured penile TEMPERATURE and whether or not they felt something on their FOREARMS....ayep, gotta go circ my kids now...that proved it!! :

Also - this study also only measured bits that exist on both circed and intact penises.

The other recent sensitivity study showed that the most sensitive parts on an intact penis are those that are removed by circumcision. Those need to be tested and compared to the most sensitive parts on a circed penis in order to get any kind of understanding of what the circed guys are missing.

Anecdotally, I'd comment that the skin on my husband's inner wrist is much more sensitive to fine touch (whisper-touch of fingers) than the his penis is. Certainly than the glans.

He certainly will entertain the fine touch thing for awhile, but will pretty much ask for the "macro approach" over the micro, before too long.

And fine touch does much more for me than it does for him. I never really thought much beyond that this probably was an "apples and oranges" kind of thing, and anyone could argue that. "Men are different." But with the information from the other sensitivity study (pub in BJU), I'd say it makes sense to suggest that it's not so much apples and oranges as a case of circumcision changing things for him.

I don't know if intact guys typically are LESS sensitive on their inner arms, or if it's a comparative thing. (But isn't there an erogenous zone there, anyway?)
