Baby has no pajamas

Ds barely fits into his 6-9 months Carters footies especially now that we do cloth. I went to the store and they said they don't make them any bigger. I found 2 piece pjs for 2 year olds but doesn't anyone make something in between? Another brand had 18 month size but when I compared it to the Carters they were the same, go figure. I couldn't even find long sleeve undershirts in that size.

Anybody have advice other than to let baby sleep in the buff?

I ran into this problem too. DS is pretty big and the sleepers for older kids don't take into account diaper changes. But then I realized that I don't change his diaper in the middle of the night - I don't wake up enough to do it and if I did it would wake him up too. *shrug*

If the baby's sleeping next to you, you probably don't need more than a diaper and a t-shirt or a onesie. Moms are great heaters. =)

Childrens place has one peice PJ's that still fit Shiah at over 2 years (24lbs and 31inchs)

I buy 2 piece pjs. Most of the time I just let him sleep in onesies.

Ds sleeps in a cradle right next to us because Dh was afraid we would squash him if we co-sleep. We can't use blankets because Ds likes to pull them up. We use a sleeping sack but it doesn't have sleeves so that equates to cold arms. 2 piece outfits don't really work either because the shirt rides up and then Dh complains that the baby will catch a cold. He's pretty paranoid when it comes to the baby. : What was working for us was long sleeve onsies but they are too small now and I couldn't find any bigger ones. Those were hard to find too because Dh only liked onsies that cross tied because he hated pulling clothes over Ds's head. Since I liked to use organic when he was small, I had to order them all the way from England! I have an organic cotton footie which would have worked lengthwise but I couldn't fit Ds's fat legs into those much less his bum

Thanks for the Children's Place tip, I'll try there. If nothing works I'll just have to make Dh babysit for a few hours while I try to sew some up.

if you get a chance to sew I love the /kwik sew pattern, sew up really fast and easy and fits true to size, best patterns out there

that's crazy! i have carters pjs w/footies (the one piece that snap up the front, right?) in XL which is 12-18mo size which still fit my dd3 even w/her CD butt. however, it is too hot around here for her to sleep in those anymore so i have a couple pair of carters 2pc PJs and those t-shirt rompers work great for summer PJs!

We had the same problem. Now Cole sleeps in a onsie and light knit pants or something, sometimes shorts. I like the onesie because it doesn't ride up like a shirt, although sometimes he wears a pajama top and he seems pretty comfortable in it.

Ahhh the quest for good PJs

I have done mega research on this topic.
Cosco carries my favorite brand of childrens clothes sometimes. It is agabang (don't try going to their web page, it is in a foreign language! LOL)
Also Chocolate Soup carries them! They are great romper type sleepwear for summer.
The Gap carries a Short John we love.
Gymboree has awesome baby jammies that zip up the front with no feet, also romper style (we don't do baby clothes with feet)
Right now they have the cutest aligator print one, and a shark one! TOO CUTE
JCPennys carries a brand,ummmm can't recall right now, that is great all the way up to 2T
Sears has some great deals on romper style cotton jammies


Hope this helps a little, I hate 2 piece sleepwear for babies, I can't stand the elastic marks on their tummies! Plus it tends to bring the cloth diaper down, and sometimes rolls down into their diaper and makes a PJ wick!

I have to agree that Gymboree has really cute baby pj's.

carter's totally makes a larger size pj, I don't know what that clerk was talking about...right now I think we have something that is at least 12 mos.

We also have one piece long johns from target - footless, red, buttons up the front. So cute! Baby looks like he belongs out on the frontier!

I've had to resort too rummage sales/thrift stores to find summer PJ's for Jonny. It is so difficult to find male type jammies in stores, I've looked everywhere! But, I do have some 24month and 2t size, 18mo won't fit him, not with a night-time diaper on(and some 24 month don't fit that great either) I have to at least put bottoms on him, because he can undo the velcro/aplix on his diaper covers.
