Right now we are searching for someone to do solar panels on our vw eurovan. THen i wouldn't have to sell it for a hybrid. I was so close to buying the 2008 escape hybrid but i just can't give up my vdub. I am crossing my fingers that someone can do it.

OMG, am I the only one who printed the prototype, glued it on old cardboard and have it on my desk?

If I ever had the money, that would be exactly what I'd buy! Ds and I were just DROOLING over it!

Just had to break in OT and say hello to Jacque. Long time no *see*! I've thought of you often.

Yeah, I could see Delight loving this! I know they used to have a VW westy about a year ago or so.

Jacque, I don't have it glued to cardboard, but I did print it out! Ah, now I'm torn between this and that 84sqft. house!

My dream is to buy some land and put up a Yurt - actually two. One main Yurt for our kitchen/dinning and family area and one smaller one that connects for the kids rooms - my room would be a loft in the main Yurt.

This Van would compliment that dream very nicely!

It IS a VW. It is the redesign of the VW Westfalia camper. I was doing a search for VW camper and this is what I came up with.

It is not a VW. Volkswagen has nothing to do with it. Westfalia is a different company and they were not involved either, though they have mentioned they like it and might incorporate some of its designs in the future. The site mentions the VW Westfalia as the source of inspiration, but it is not a VW, or a Westfalia.

These things haven't actually been built yet. They don't have a builder.

From what I hear, VW is planning to reintroduce their own version of the bus, so if this is ever produced, it will probably be redesigned not look like a VW unless they pay some hefty licensing fees.

I love Yurts. I held onto a Yurt catalog for almost four years, even though I knew I wouldn't get one. I keep the dream alive in my head, though. Maybe someday we can get one for a summer home.
