constant sugar in urine-normal blood sugar

For the past maybe 3 months everytime I go in for a prenatal there is at least a trace of sugar in my urine. I've tried getting on top of it with diet (although not too strict of one, just trying to cut down some and balance with more protein). Once I had ++ for sugar. But, we've tested my blood glucose a few times in the office with a home glucometer and my levels were like 93 (about 1 hour after eating). Which are totally normal numbers. I'm 38 weeks pregnant now so we really aren't going to do anything about it. But I'm just wondering if it's normal to continue to dump sugar into my urine, but have normal blood glucose (on a side note in the past I've had issues with symptoms of hypoglycemia but when they test my blood sugar I'm just borderline hypoglycemic....like a score of 70 after a 12 hour fast).

I have that too. I've had it all of my life and it gets much worse when I am pregnant. I've been diagnosed with renal glycosuria. As far as I can tell it means I have nothing wrong but I spill sugar for no good reason and keep a normal to low blood sugar.

the increased filtration of the kidneys (because of the expanded blood volume) often results in glucosuria. it's normal.

in NONpregnant people, it is a sign of diabetes. pregnancy is DIFFERENT.

I agree with the other posters, I wouldn't worry about it, it will probably disappear within a week or two after delivery.
