Ideas for drinking RRL tea?

Thread Starter
I am a tea-hater, always have been. I know the health benifits to drinking RRL tea in pregnancy but I literally have to choke it down, hot or cold. Can anyone recommend anything to add to it to make it more appealing? (I have tried honey but it did not help.)

In my last pregnancy I took RRL in capsel form but my midwife said that she did not believe that it had the same effect as drinking the tea...thoughts?

What about mixing the tea with some fruit juice? Cranberry? Apple?

I tried with my last pregnancy and just couldn't manage to choke it down. I ended up also taking it in capsule form. I don't understand why the capsule form wouldn't be effective...?

FWIW, I had a very quick and pretty easy labor with ds and afterwards, had very little bleeding. Whether or not that had anything to do with the RRL supplements we'll never know, but it certainly didn't hurt!

hmmm, good question... I like tea so it's not a problem for me, but I think the fruit/vegi juice idea sounds good, or you try putting a lot of milk in it. You could try cooking things in it maybe, like vegis, rice, soup, adding some chicken/vegi/beek stock? Now that could very well be super-nasty but it might be worth a try if you are dead-set on trying to drink it. Good luck, let us know if something works!

I love sipping it on ice w/ peach or mango juice mixed in.
