36 weekers, come on in!

Caught the idea from the weekly thread, thought it sounded great!

I was 36 weeks on Monday, I've had some activity, not sure if it's prodomal labor or not, going on since Saturday. It would be really nice to know what the heck is going on with my body!!

How's the rest of us doing??? :

It's hard to be at the back of the pack! BUT - even still, we are just mere weeks away from having babies and when I think on that for awhile, I get really excited!!

Are you still feeling crampiness regularly, Nic?

I've also been having some crampy activity for the past few days, but interestingly none of that yet today. Even BHs have been minimal today. Huh.

Here I am. Supremely unable to sleep, peeing constantly and wavering between ready to deliver and OH MY GOD I'm NOT ready for a baby. Painful ctx throughout the day at random for about 2 weeks now, and some are getting "real".

I was 36 weeks on Sunday. I feel fine, but obsessively check the tp for "show", or something! Every single twinge, I'm like "maybe this is it" and every moment that passes I'm like "Could be now... or now... or maybe.............. now..." It's really annoying!

Bee, I'm still uncomfortable but it's not near as bad as it was yesterday. I actually have energy and motivation today.

Bethany, I'm betting you'll go before me. Although it would be highly amusing to go on the same day. :

Keri, I'm also doing constant TP checks.. and I don't know why. I've never gone early before!!!

I'm 36 weeks today and just back from my OB visit/NST. NST was fine again, and yet I have another scheduled in two weeks. : My OB wanted to schedule me for an induction on July 13, but I declined. He thinks I'm crazy, but I know what inductions are like, and they're going to have a tough time getting me to agree to one unless there's a damn good reason. (Besides, according to my calculations, I would only be 38w1d then! Waaaay too early to be thinking about induction, IMO.) My cervix is still closed. I had my GBS swab done today, which they now also do in your RECTUM, by the way. What a lovely surprise that was!

I see my perinatologist next Thursday for the LAST time. : And then I go back to my regular OB on July 12.

I am actually feeling great today. I still have terrible pinching pain in my crotch while trying to walk, but I think I'm getting used to it.

I noticed the same pinching pain today Lindsay... wtf is that?!! My GBS test they only swabbed my vagina thank goodness, from what I understand it's always in the rectum?
Great, so mine will probably come back positive just because they did it in my rectum. Any excuse for another freaking drug during labor! : My OB said, "We do this in the rectum now, too." No other explanation. I *think* they used the same swab they used in my vagina, too, so it wasn't for correlation purposes or anything.

A nurse practitioner once told me that the pinching pain is the baby's head pushing down on the cervix. Not sure how reliable that info is!

My pinching pain is on the right hand side (where her head is of course) and right above my pubic bone. It's starting to become annoying.

I'm not sure about the gbs test maybe someone else can chime in on that. If that is the case I would totally argue the results.

Whoa hoo! I'm 36 weeks and 5 days! Eek! I mean.....

I've had some stronger "all-limbs-simultaneous-kicking" for a couple days, but not frequently. Contractions?

I've just begun to get tingly superficially in my hands and feet and an area of my back--not sure what that is.....

Yesterday, while barely exerting myself at the gym, I got really lightheaded and had to stop my workout early....grrr....And today, while sitting, sewing, it was even worse.....

I was supposed to have a midwife appointment today, but someone went into labor at the birthing center....I'll have to sleep, read, and watch movies all day.....poor me

By the way, about the Beta Strep test, the bacteria is in some women's natural flora near your vagina and rectum. Really, they should have swabbed just inside your vagina, then wiped your rectum to be sure. They should get a good idea from doing either, though.

If it's in your flora --unless you JUST took a shower and were SUPERcareful not to dry yourself in either area using the same towel then got to the doctor's office without underwear or sweating or anything heehee--it'll show if they swab.....

36 weeks today here.
omg. 36 weeks!!!

baby hanging out really low.
when i sit on anything that isnt super soft i feel like i am sitting directly on my pelvic bones and my tail bone HURTS! she is really low. dunno if she is completely engaged anymore but at my 32week u/s she was so engaged the u/s tech was talking about using the trens vag wand to see my cervix cause her head was SO in the way she couldnt with the regular belly wand.

i cant do anything anymore. i CANNOT bend over. so picking up takes forever, ebcause i have to sit my butt on the ground and scoot everywhere to get things tidy. lol its a funny sight!

when we go out shopping, etc. even jsut grocery shopping, by the time i get home i am SO sore and have to aly on my left side and drink water to get the contrax to go away.

and my feet and ankles dont exist anymore, just puffy swollen water filled stubs.
seriously WHAT is with the foot swelling?!

and i am not having a GBS test. so no worries for me about all that.

Anyone else's heels hurt? I didn't have it that bad in previous pregnancies. It hurts to stand and when I wake in the morning it's like I'm walking on razor blades.

Wow you ladies make me feel bad in the sense that I'm not having all the BH's and weird sensations that you are! I'm 36 weeks today.

I don't think I've ever had a BH in my life. I'm sure I have but I've never noticed...I never noticed any with ds either. I had some nasty rib pain but the chiro fixed that up about 2 weeks ago. I was getting nauseous at night but yesterday I just happen to drink a ridiculous amount of liquid (prob 2 gallons and mostly water) and I wasn't nauseous so I think it has to do with my water intake. I have some left hip pain but I went to the chiro again last night and it feels much better.

I think I might have to stop working out. Everytime I do my hip gets all wonky and I'm sore for a few days or more.

I blew up the birth pool this morning to see how big it really is and where it will fit in the house. Jake is playing in it right now (it doesn't have water obviously). I think it's going to be just perfect and just the right height

Everyone in my family goes late so as cool as it would be to have a baby 2 weeks from now I just don't think it'll happen at all. I'm due the 25th but I'm really thinking it will be the 1st or 2nd week of August instead so in my mind I still have another 5-6 weeks of pregnancy.

I had my 36 week appt. today! This is the furthest along I've been (ds was a 35 weeker) and I'm really liking it! I know if I start laboring now (not likely! I need to keep telling myself that!!) then I can still birth at home. Exciting!

YES! What IS that?!

Also, I'm a swollen, water-filled mess. I lose weight throughout the day depending on how much water I drink, and it can fluctuate up to five lbs. :

I'll be 36 wks tomorrow, have been losing chunks of plug and compulsively check the TP. I've also been very juicy lately. DH thinks it's great, anyway...

We did the GBS last week, and they said they'd call us back Tues/Wed if there was a problem. No call, so hopefully no problem. I was taken off guard when they swabbed my butt, and I got 1 second's warning, like, "And we also swab your butt *swab*" as I yelped and bounced on the table. DH was mad, he wanted to decline the test but we hadn't done any research, and they haven't been very good about "letting" us decline tests. They wouldn't "let" us decline the GTT, which came back perfect by the way, apparently because of my weight gain.

I'm 36 weeks too. I just had an appointment with my midwife today. Everything is going as normally as possible. Sometimes I don't even believe that there is really a baby in there.

I have everything set up and ready to go. I'm just patiently waiting.

Is anyone else ready to barricade themselves in the house yet? I'm starting to feel more antsy about having to leave the house and talk to people. I'm just tired of answering questions and having people wonder when I'm going to pop.

Oh...and swelling.....try increasing your protein. Aim for 100g a day. Every single time I have had any swelling all I have had to do is increase my protein and in 2-3 days the swelling cleared up.
Am I the latest due date on this board? I'm not technically 36 weeks until Friday or Saturday!

And, despite being uncomfortable and tired, I'm not ready in any way yet. First, I'm not cleared for a home birth until 37 weeks, and I don't have everything ready for the birth OR the baby yet. It's just not time yet for me, and I'm fine with that. : That being said, I'll likely never feel truly ready.

Aside from serious pinchiness around my bladder, etc, I haven't felt much in the way of cramps or contractions...yet. But I never felt a single cramp, twinge or even BH contraction with DS before my water broke at 39 weeks with him. So who knows.

the only time i had that was when the tendonitis in my foot/achilles was so bad that it made my heels feel like i was walking on razor blades, thats exactly how i would describe it.
try doing some leg and foot stretches.

right now the thought of food is just not appealing, but i am trying to pop a few almonds or cashews whenever i think about it throughout the day to add to my protein intake..

i am ONLY swollen in the feet and ankles so its not a worry, just a discomfort.
