Is dd's car seat still good?

I noticed the other day that one of the pieces of styrofoam in dd's car seat is broken. It's not missing, but it's cracked. Does this mean I need to get her a new car seat? We travel by car a LOT and I want to make sure everything is copascetic before we go on our next trip (next week). I can't seem to load car-safety.org, which is highly frustrating!

From the customer service rep at Britax, they told me as long as its cracked but still there that its fine. You can tape it with duct tape to make sure that it stays where its supposed to but you don't need to replace the whole seat because of the crack in the foam. (obviously a crack in the SEAT itself would mean it has to be replaced )

I'm not sure what kind of carseat you have, but I would think the same reasoning would apply.

Call the manufacturer. Every one has a different rule for what is and is not safe
