At 41 wks. 4days, I went into the hospital sat. night to be induced with cytoteck. Sunday morning had my water broken to see thick meconium(sp?). Started pitocin sunday morning and labored all day sunday. Besides the medical induction, I made it through the labor pain-med free!!! This was my first birth and it was hard but beautiful. I have a new respect for the medical profession. They truly stuck to our birth plan as much as possible under the circumstances. Mid day, his heart rate dropped dramitically if i labored in any other position than standing. I had to stand for two hours. I had such a team though. My sister and doula labored each pressure wave with me, moaning and all. John-Ross was born sunday at 7:23, weighing 8 lbs 1oz and was 20 inches long. He had breathing issues when born and had to be wisked off to the nursery. I can't believe this didn't upset DH and I at all, we were thankful that they were there to help our little strong boy fight for his life! We are all actually home now and doing great! will post pics soon!

Congratulations and welcome home with your new baby!

I have to giggle at the name, though. I had the biggest crush on a boy named John Ross in high school.

I have to tell y'all

Borobaby is AMAZING!!!!

I'm her sister and I got to be there for her entire birthing time. She is the strongest women I know. What she did for 24 + hours I didn't even know was possible (and I have two- one born at home!)

I'm so proud of my little sister! :
