Thanks everyone! pictures here! (also henna belly pix from my blessingway five days earlier!!) we are enjoying our babymoon as a family of four! will write the birth story when I have more time, but here are some quickies:
things I forgot:
newborns are gooey.
the new baby smell!
girl parts are different than boy parts
things I remembered:
labor is excruciating.
but worth it.
gravity is my friend!
new things:
eggplant parmesan does indeed seem to be effective if baby is ready
afterpains are indeed a royal bitch the second time around.
second babies are no less amazing than first babies.
personalities can be very different, even from the first moment.
birth, especially for baby, can be so much more peaceful than it was for ds.
we're pretty sure we're committed to Aurora for the middle name now (since she was born just as the sun was coming up, ya know
. now I'm getting engorged so I better go nurse!
