Oh, and if he comes out a girl (after an amnio and 11 ultrasounds, this is a long shot), *she* would be Natalie Claire.

Sage Evelyn but dh and I recently (last night) had an argument about this.. and I'm ready to hurt him because this has been her name since I was 20 wks pregnant.

If she comes out a he (only had one u/s) his name will be Orion but I'm unsure of a middle name at this point.

Caleb Evan

We named him about 10 minutes after our 31 week u/s... we really got to SEE HIM at that u/s and he did indeed look like a Caleb... Evan, dh liked since the beginning but I gave it a mn only status, so when we came up with the first name, Evan just fit too nicely to change it!!

Maya Sage. If she comes out a he, it will be Griffin Michael.

Nic, what is DH wanting to change? I can't imagine you having anything other than a Sage at this point!

(My best friend's DS is named Sage, BTW. I always thought it was better for a girl!)

Wendy that's cute.. we were undecided at our u/s between Maya and Sage. She looked more like a Sage to me. :

Lindsay he doesn't like Evelyn.. it's my grandma's name (she's like my mom) and he doesn't think it's a very pretty name. Then he said something about making Sage her middle name and giving her a first name that begins with U so her initials would be U.S.A : definitely not what I'm going for!

Jackson Scott (We call him Jake)

Our girl name was Clara Elizabeth.

Thomas Edward

Is that a solid sounding name or what?

I had to giggle at the U.S.A. thing. What a man thing to think about when naming a child!

How about Sage Evangeline? Close to Evelyn, but maybe he'd like it more? I think Sage Evelyn is great, personally.

Oooh, never mind. Just said Sage Evangeline out loud, and it's kind of a tongue-twister.

I'm stuck on Sage Evelyn.. and he will be too because that's her name. At this point I'm just letting him think he has something of a say again. I don't know why the heck he waited until we had a month left. I asked and asked early on and he only came up with silly names.

He'll definately be a Thomas the Tank Engine fan!!!

When we found out this baby was a little boy, Braden wanted to name him Percy (after a TTE train!)... for a girl, he wanted Dory, from Nemo... :

Well, I'm kind of in the same boat as your DH, because I got tired of Gavin at around 30 weeks and tried to discuss changing it. My DH refuses, though. He said he's been thinking of him as Gavin for far too long to change it now. So Gavin it is.

How cute!

My DS wanted to name DD "Dash" whether she was a boy or a girl.

Amen sister! He had his chance to be vocal about the baby's name... too late to make a change now!

And ftr, I think Sage Evelyn is a beautiful name, and I can tell the Evelyn part means a LOT to you. I think you would be terribly regretful if you changed her mn b/c THAT is the name that *means alot* to you...

I think (HOPE) he's just trying to ruffle your feathers w/ the U.S.A thing...

Aww I've always had the last say and I suppose that's not always fair but I look at it like I'm the one going through the discomfort and pain, I know them better. I told dh that I am open to new names but I'm not searching for them anymore he has to come to me with them. So far he's come up with nothing and I refuse to name my child something ridiculous to appease his male ego.

Now that's funny! Braden was the same way with Dory, he said that sounded like a boy or girl name to him! It actually took some time for him to come up with something ELSE he liked after we found out it was a boy and I told him NO on the Dory thing... after the Percy suggestion, I realized I was all alone in this naming the baby thing!!

These kids are just too cute!! :

I completely understand your feelings on this one... I *like* Caleb myself, but I *love* that my dh loves it. *I* could change it but just knowing he really likes it makes me like it even more...

And, FTR--I love Gavin!! Our best friends' little boy is Gavin and he's just one cool kid! Actually, every person I've ever known (only 2 others besides their little boy) who has been named Gavin have all been very extraordinary people... talented, gifted, yk? I had kinda wished our friends hadn't used the name b/c it was on the top of my list (up until their Gavin was born 3 years ago!)
