Any other mommas pregnant and breastfeeding ?? - Page 3

Me, too. I have a 15 mo son, and my supply is definitely lower than before. Little guy likes to nurse a lot overnight, and even more lately. I can only assume it's because there's just less milk. If I thought it would help with the nightwaking, I'd consider nightweaning... but I'm not sure that it would do much for more sleep, just less nursing.
I'm TIRED.

And here comes the pain. Started all of a sudden last night. Super ouch! I think my supply is dropping even more rapidly this time, cause girly can't get enough! She keeps holding my face, looking in my eyes, then squeezing my boob and asking really sweetly "more pss(please)?" :

super sore here! I'm nursing my 13 month old who is in no where near weaning. I'm feeling a little guilty about getting pregnant before she was really ready. That sounds so silly. But, she wanted to nurse last night...and I just couldn't take it after 2 times for at least 20 minutes. I just rolled over and she finially squirmed and fussed her way back to sleep. I had tried to comfort her ..but nothing was really working. : She is tounge tied...and her latch has never been perfect..it's killing me. i'm not really sure what to do.

My 13 mo old dd is also nursing mroe and more frequently and is making em crazy. She insists on pushing my shirt up to my neck and exposing both breasts and then goes back and forth almost constantly between the 2....looking for more milk? I don't know, but I do know that it is becoming less and less comfortable each day. All of my kids have weaned by the end of the first trimester of the next pregnancy and while that makes me sad, I anticipate it will happen again. Luckily, I have a great little sleeper that has been nightweaned for quite some time so that does help. She really only nurses 3-4 times a day.

I just got a faint positive today. I'm still nursing my 8 month old. Should be exciting. I just hope he doesn't wean like my others have once I got pg.

I am nursing dd2, who is 29 months old. She will be 3 a monthish before the new baby is born.
She is really really into nursing, I cannot imagine her stoping, although her latch is very bad - purple nipple w/ teeth marks around them! YOWCH :

My little Isaac, who is 16 months, is nursing with no end in sight. He will now bring me a pillow, do the sign for milk, and vigorously shake his head yes when he wants to nurse. When I nursed my older girls during pregnancies past my nipples were so sore but this time it doesn't seem to be bothering me. I noticed the OP has an Isaac who is 16 months like I do. Pretty cool!

DD turned 2 on the 3rd of July. I nursed through my 2nd pg also, so I'm not stressing about much right now.

I'm still nursing my 16 month old and just found out today I'm preggo, with the same EDD. I've been suspecting it b/c of the sudden nipple soreness. I do feel guilty, I don't want him to wean. I guess we'll just see how it goes.

I just found out I'm pregnant with #2.

DD will be 2 next month, and still nurses throughout the day. I've been debating on weaning her, I don't know. I kind've hope she weans when my milk changes. (Doesn't it dry up during pregnancy?)

I am nursing my 22 month old. So far the only restriction I've placed on nursing is I won't nurse if I am eating. I'm glad I haven't night weaned or anything because my milk supply is already compromised. Abby is nursing lots and not getting satified. I get sad when I have to hand her a sippy cup when she has nursed for the last half hour. I'm really having a hard time knowing that my milk isn't rocking her world anymore. Does anyone else feel like that? I kind of hope she doesn't wean completly during the pregnancy. I wanted to let her have milk as long as she wanted it. I wasn't planning this pregnancy so I didn't see the milk supply problem coming.

I'm just joining. I'm due March 30 and nursing my 20 month old. She still nurses anywhere from twice a day to 20 times a day (though usually its about 3 or 4). She's slept through the night since before she was 1.

Well I had to morning wean DS. It just hurt too much to nurse him first thing in the morning. It hurts the other times too, but I can handle it better. I did learn that DS hates the taste of Lansinoh, which I need to slather on my nipples now. As much as I hate the "spicy mama" technique, it sure would be easier to cut out the other sessions one at a time this way. I'd love to nurse him until he got some new colostrum, but I don't know if I can hang in that long.

I'm not nursing now (my twins self-weaned at 3y4m) but when I was still nursing my then 18-month-old, I became pg with my twins. She was still nursing at night which I gradually cut down on but she nursed during the day and to sleep at night throughout most of my pregnancy. She weaned 1 month before her twin sisters were born.

FYI...there is a study linking moms who conceive while bf'ing and twins.

I am totally with you on this. I would love to have him night weaned as it would be great to get a little more rest. But it's so heartbreaking to see him sit up in bed and squeeze his little fist to sign milk. Ugh!

I'm still nursing my DD, who's 18 1/2 months now. She's showing no signs of stopping! At times, I'm ready to finish (like those 3am nursings), but other times I want to go on as long as I can. I'll probably try night weaning her pretty soon, but she really doesn't like being told "No Nurses" right now, so it'll be a job!

What I found funny was my visits to the OB and then DD's pediatrician. My OB told me to start weaning - it'll help with DD's transition (and be easier on my body). The pediatrician said that if I wanted to start weaning, that's fine, but take it slow, and if she's still nursing when the new one gets here, it'll help make the transition easier - and that my body, as long as I'm staying sound nutritionally, will accomodate nursing and being pregnant. I have to admit that I *love* my pediatrician!!

That being said, we'll see what happens! I'll nurse DD as long as we both can take it.

meaning that moms who are bf when they concieve have a higher likely hood of twins : uh oh
