Bamboo Floor Underlayment

We just bought our first home (hooray!) and are replacing the old carpet with bamboo flooring. We did a lot of research to find the least toxic, yet most affordable flooring, but now we'd like to find the same for an underlayment (we'd like to pay .50/square foot or less). We are pulling the old carpet tonight and need to figure out underlayment ASAP. We have 1-2 weeks to decide, buy & receive it.
