Do you have an organic mattress topper? If so, do you like it? Is it worth approx. $500?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Gosh I've just been posting about mattresses all day! =)
I've got a 2" latex topper from Vivetique, that does wonders on a normal old mattress but is not so good on top of latex. It feels too soft for me on top of the latex. (a queen is $460 from Organic Grace, which is one of my favorite stores)
I also have the "travel mate" from Shepherd's Dream, and it's amazing on the latex mattress. Kinda funny huh? It takes a little more maintenance and compresses more, but it gives a nice fluffy feeling without being too soft. That one's only $345 for a queen, and I *think* they might have a sale on them right now - if they ask you can tell them Kai sent you. =)
But worth it? Totally, both of them are. They make both of my mattresses a lot more comfortable.
And A&A, if you have more questions please feel free to ask! I just went through the process of getting new bedding for our whole family, so I've done TONS of research. I think I've talked to pretty much every company out there! Good luck =)

I just found this thread and I am looking for something "safe" to top our mattress with as well. We have a queen.
I'm planning to co-sleep with the baby and I wouldn't worry QUITE so much, but our mattress is only about 2 yrs old and not at all organic or anything (can you believe I didn't even THINK of that when we purchased a new one!!??) I'm sure it off-gasses some even though it has never bothered me that I know of... but the new warnings about SIDS scare me!
When I co-slept with my first DD, my mattress was about 8 yrs old and I had no idea about these things.... sigh....
Anything fairly reasonably priced I can top it with? We have a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card just waiting to be used and I was thinking of looking there, but I don't know what might be my best options for blocking any off-gassing.
