Homebirther Roll Call - Page 2

Here! Ds was born in the same home, with the same midwife, and with the same tub we are planning to use for the this one. I've put very little effort into planning this birth, as so much is the same. It has felt good to just be relaxed and looking forward to birthing. Now bring it on!

Labored in water, birthed on the bed where she was conceived. And I'd do it again a million times!!!!! :

We'll be homebirthing! This is my third baby, but only my second homebirth. Hopefully s/he'll be born in the tub just like my daughter!

Count me in too. I get the feeling I'm going to be a bit early, instead of Aug 2nd.

First kid, UC HB (hopefully!) I have to remember to keep drinking that raspberry leaf tea!

I have an ounce saved up for when I go into labor, it's supposed to 'speed things' along.

I'm already dilated 2 1/2 cm so hopefully I won't have any problems.

Good luck to everyone!

Count me in. This is my 1st homebirth.

My last birth was an elective induction with epidural (that didn't work). I was very mainstream back then and it's that birth that got me thinking there had to be a better way. Now I'm a crunchy mom!

Oh! Do you know the concentrated RLT recipe for helping labor along?? I've been looking for it!

This will be my 4th homebirth. All of my children except for my first have been born at home. I'm looking forward to a very peaceful and relaxing hb.

DD was born almost exactly 2 years ago in our big jacuzzi bathtub and that is the plan for this babe too... Hopefully I won't be waiting too much longer - lost a big bunch of my mucus plug yesterday and I have been poopin' like crazy! (sorry TMI) DD was born at 37 weeks and I am 38 weeks today so I am anxious and ready!

1st baby and 1st homebirth. Due mid to late July. I'm hoping she comes next week though. Still a little nervous...but very excited to have her at home!

Second baby, first homebirth here. My first baby was born as a very lovely, water laboring hospital birth, but it just wasn't home. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this goes, but I'm very nervous about not going into labor on my own (I was induced because I was overdue and didn't go into labor last time), so hopefully that'll go better this time.

1st baby, and a homebirth.....and I CAN'T WAIT!!! this is getting a bit uncomfortable....

We are having a water HBAC. We had planned a HB/WB with DS1, but he was breech from 31 weeks on, despite trying *absolutley everything* (acupuncture/moxabustion, Webster Technique, homeopathy, herbs, inversion exercises, music, handstands in pool, external version) to turn him. Had a C/S at 41 weeks. I'm really looking forward to this birth and am really ready for it to happen.

It's such a different sensation, having the baby head-down as opposed to breech! DS1 was a complete (cross-legged/lotus position) breech and never engaged in the pelvis at all, so I never started to dilate or efface, even at 41 weeks. This is soooo different! DS2's head is constantly pressing on my bladder and I'm having all kinds of cervical pressure and twinges. I'm dilated about 1cm and 50% effaced already, but I know you can be 1cm dilated for weeks before anyting starts happening...

Planning our first homebirth here! (but temped to call the midwife "late")

First was a "natural" hospital birth that I do not regeret, just want some more autonomy this time.

I have 3 weeks!

Planning our 3rd UC (fourth birth) soon. Got home after a 10 day vacation last night after contracting all the way home (not fun during a 14 hour van ride with 3 tired kids ). Nesting up a storm today and wondering if I may actually have a baby early? I am only 38 weeks and I have no birth supplies. But as long as I have a birth canal and some breastmilk what more do I need right? Dh is getting a little worried and keeps asking when we are going to buy the stuff but I really feel no rush. My last birth was so fast I never even bothered to find my birth kit.

I am getting excited by all these births

I've mostly been lurking (insanely busy) but ME! My ds was born at the hospital, and that's what led me to decide to never birth there again (unless medically necessary of course!).

me too, i barely ever post, but do check in regularly. We're having our second HB and our second birth... I'm so glad to have such a beautiful experience as our first, so I look forward to it. I'm 38 wks on Tues and am so curious about when this baby will come. I had a very fast labor with my first and hope that everyone will make it in time for my second!!!
