Multiple quoting:
When reading the thread, there's a button/icon to the right of the "quote" button. It's a picture of a quotation and a plus sign. For every post that you want to quote, you click that button, then you go to the bottom of the thread and hit reply. Then you respond between quotes. I also delete out the parts of people's posts that I'm not directly quoting, just to make it easier to read.

Yeah, I'm proud of myself for figuring it out. : : :

I wondered what that button did Thank you!!! This will make things so much easier!

Okay, now I'm embarrassed and have to admit that I actually noticed someone else in this thread do it, so I finally stopped to figure it out because it seems necessary in this thread to be able to do that. Anyway, I am proud that I figured it out, but someone else did it before me.

Nevertheless, I love having someone use the worship icon for me.

I haven't lost much this past month...however I am maintaining...
22 more to go!!!!

How is everyone else doing!!!!????

I started training for my first sprint triathalon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shhhhhhhhhh dont tell anyone!
I just now noticed you had showed up. Good to have you back.

Anyway, It sounds like you're doing great. Did you kind of take a break and maintain or did you plateau? Wow, a triathalon. There are several of you in here now. I know that with my hiking, I feel like I could become much more athletic. I'm kind of excited about it. I don't know about competition, but I'm thinking maybe if I lose some more weight and find a bra that will support me to the hilt, I might take up running.

Ahhh! Did I say that out loud? Ssssh, don't tell anyone.

About the bra issue....Girl I am with ya on that one!!!! Champion brand is the best I have found so far.... just an FYI.

Well, lets see....in June, things were really rocky in my marriage and we almost split up (still might) and I lost 10 pounds from stress....not from eating all of my points, etc...
In July I really wanted to maintain and not loose because of my stress, etc...I am now at the point where I am ready to loose again. I never stopped attending meetings or working out.

It was the whole emotional/stress issue that made my body wonky.

However, I am back....and on fire to loose the last 20 pounds.....

Thanks for asking

So, I was hoping for a two pound loss. I mean, I earned more than 28 activity points. I stayed OP. My clothes fit differently. I lost .8. I'm not too excited about that. I mean, I told myself beforehand not to be disappointed if I lost less than I hoped, but the thing is, it's Weight Watchers. It's the big measure every week.

Okay, waaaaahh fest over. I'm fitting better in my clothes. I'm feeling good. So, it's good. It'll happen.

aww. ruby it'll all be good, you'll see.

today is day two with no sugar and no eating between meals. i have to keep accountable to somebody; i'm not going to WW meetings so if it's ok with y'all, it's going to be you guys. i've been fudging around long enough. and as they say in AA, if i keep doing what i'm doing, i'm going to keep getting what i'm getting. so it's time (again...sigh) to try something different. i've done this before and i can dang well do it again. i'm probably going to crosspost most of my "accountable" posts (between the WW thread and the 40lbs in 40 weeks thread) because it helps ME, so please forgive and be patient.

i weighed at 189.4 (or was it .6, i honestly forgot as soon as i got off the scale) this morning.
i ate:
B: 3/4c Weetabix flakes, 1c unsweetened soymilk, 1c strawberries
L: leftover beef stew homemade (about a cup?), sauteed summer squashes, itty bitty potatoes (a cup?)
D: chicken leg, 1c pasta ("normal", not whole or anything), edamame
snack/dessert: a pear, cut up really small, with nonfat cherry yogurt, some cool whip lite, wheat germ, and a handful (2Tb?) of golden raisins

i walked/jogged on the treadmill for 53m this morning.

i hope i start to show losses if i keep this up! the problem is i'm not good at keeping it up. like tomorrow, unless i get up freakishly early (and i'm totally useless on not enough sleep) i won't be able to manage to get to the gym. i want to go 6 days a week. how will i do that?? :

i will honestly try to go. they show these free movies every tues/wed during the summer at the theater, and you have to get there at 9:30 for the 10:00 showing cause all the daycares and such show up. : so that means leaving the house at 9:15. we get UP at like 8:00. how to get in breakfast *and* the gym in 45m??

so tomorrow is the movie, which gets out around noon, then lunch, then haul it to the tailgate market to get our weekly fresh fish and some veggies, then to two stores to do our grocery shopping (which takes umpteen years with ds, so it's going to be a long afternoon). by the time that's all over, it'll be time to go home. i'll have perishables (yogurt and half&half and maybe frozen stuff) or i'd stop by the gym on the way home. think they'd last an extra 45m in the cooler in the hot car? i truly will go at least for 1/2 hour if y'all think the food will be OK.

mercyn, I think it's a great idea to give up sugar. I did it for many months and it really helped to get my appetite back under control and just made me feel better all around. After a period of time, the cravings go away completely.

I now allow myself a small amount of sugar--from certain types of foods, but not others--and am okay with that. For a long time, though, if I had a little bit of sugar, I'd crave more, then more, then more and be right back up to eating it again.

Sounds like you are losing fat and gaining (heavier) muscle!! That's a LOT of activity points, great job!

Also, your clothes fitting better is a very good sign

I'm not hopeful for tomorrow's weigh in (at lunch time... of course.. right after I eat :P ) but we'll see...

Honestly, all of that shopping sounds like a workout to me

I think 45 minutes in the cooler would be fine if you have some ice in there, but not sure about without ice. I think the cooler would be pretty hot inside by the time you put the cold things in, so I'd want to add some ice to keep it cold. Not a ton, but some. Do you think that would be possible?

I would rather learn ways to adapt normal/whole foods to fit within a healthy diet than eat special diet foods. For example, the yogurt. I can buy plain nonfat yogurt and add fruit to it for the same point value as the WW yogurt and it's better for me, too.

2) They are expensive!!!

3) A lot of them contain artificial sugars, which I do not use.

4) A lot of them are for what I consider to be "treats", and I'm sorry but a diet treat just is not going to cut it for me. When I want a brownie, I want an ooey gooey chocolatey brownie... and I'll budget my points and portion accordingly.

MTA: RubyWild, is there a trick you use to quote all of us in one post?? That's really neat!
: I really don't like the WW food. It's mostly junk food modified with artificial sweeteners.

Oh, and I believe I've been multi-quoting for months now, thank you very much!

It's still a loss! You'll have weeks where you lose 1 - 3 pounds, and ones like this where you lose under a pound, or stay the same. Keep with it and you will see loss soon enough! I also agree with a pp, you probably gained muscle with all of those activity points (I'd say your leg muscles gained a lot with those 17k steps climbing the mountain!). If you're working out you're not going to see a huge loss each week, b/c you're building up muscle. You're doing great!!!

Yeah, that's what they always say, but how many months can you really add muscle weight? I'd say I'm past adding muscle weight, at least from hiking.

Between my three meals, I have a serving of fruit. Otherwise, I don't snack. I just eat really filling meals.

I don't. My store doesn't sell it. I have a feeling most of it isn't all that healthy, but would be interested to hear of kinds that are free of corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, etc.
I wish we had a good all natural food store here. I here rumor we're getting a Whole Foods! That would be fantastic!! I know that I've seen the Ezekiel breads at Kroger, but since we've moved they don't have one of those here either I'll hunt 'em down.

Im such a snacker. Im finding thats my toughest area. But I did really good yesterday and even had 1 Point left over!!! And I felt FULL! YIPEE!

The WW snacks are loaded w/ corn syrup, Im sure! Yes, they don't seem too healthy do they....We don't eat artificial sweetners here either, so Im having to just count all the real sugar we use, which I've really tried to cut out. My dh can't have HFCS because of his stomach, so that makes it easier to keep that out of the house.
Right now, I don't really care about HFCS. It's hard enough to diet and avoid artificial sweeteners yk? Besides, I eat fast food on WW. Can't be as bad as taco bell.
