My 12 y.o. is currently very into the Prydain Chronicles ( a series of 5 books) - he can't put them down! He just finished Watership Down and really loved that one too. He found The Book of Lists for Teens very entertaining. He loved all three of the Artemis Fowl books. The Thief Lord, The Lost Years of Merlin series by T.A. Barron. That's all I can think of at the moment. Try Chinaberry.com - it is a great resource!

I second the Artemis Fowl books. Also Harry Potter and Lemony Snickett. There are tons of others but 12yo dd is not here right now to ask. Will post more later if I think of them.

hey there

my chelsey is 13 1/2 and currently reading the Harry Potter series. She's re-reading books three and four now to prepare for book five which we already have but she doens't want to start without refreshing her memory.

she also has the cslewis series (the lion, the witch and the wardrobe) and has read the first 2 books of that but set them aside when she got into Harry Potter

My DD Katrina (11 going on 12) likes all of the above mentioned but wants me to add the Silverwing books to the list. There are three of them (I think) and they are about a bat...: What can I say, she likes them.

She is also currently into the Princess Diaries but I think they are pretty "girly".

Here comes the librarian: LOL

DD is reading Esperenza Rising. On her "to read" stack sits Molly Moon's Incredible book of Hypnotism and Olivia Kidney
She also loves the Princess Diary series and anything by Tamora Pierce. She just finished the second Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Other teens at the library are reading (in addition to Potter)
Artemis Fowl, the Sammy Keyes mysteries, the Redwalls, Love Among the Walnuts, and anything by Gary Paulsen.

Good Luck, keeping teens reading is my full time job and it's not easy!
