joining the "club"

Hello

I wanted to introduce myself... I tested + today and am in shock.
I am a single mother (not so much single anymore) to my almost 7 yr dd. With my dd I had a wonderful pregnancy, delivered on her due date and with an ob/gyn. I want to do things differently this time around regarding the ob/gyn. I do not know of any hb midwives in my area. I am currently 4 wks1d- when do I need to find/ meet up with midwives for an appt? when do they typically want to meet with me????
I am scared and nervous about starting all over again. It's been 7 years since I last went through this
oh, due date would be march 8, 2007 based on last monthly. I moved two months ago and I have just unpacked the thermometer.......

Hi there!! I'm joining the club too!! (Due March 1st) Yay for us!

Congrats on the fun of starting over, it's so exciting. I'm in a similar position as I had a hospital birth previously, and would like to go much more low-key with a midwife this time. From what I understand, many midwives will wait until up to 11 weeks before beginning care, unless there's something unusual happening.
Which area are you in?
