what should I ask the allergist?

I'm going to try to get a referral to an allergist for my 18 month old. She's intolerant to dairy, wheat, tree nuts, eggs, coconut, chickpeas, salicylates, and amines. I suspect they are all IgG allergies (except for the salicylates and amines, which are different), not IgE one. I was thinking I should ask for the ELISA test...does that sound right? What questions should I ask?

bump!

did you decide on what to ask the allergist? We are going to an allergist for the first time since he's been 4 months old (what a waste of time that was). I want to have more knowledge about the different tests.

I think I'm going to ask for an ELISA blood test, which if I understand it correctly tests for IgG allergies/intolerances, which is what I suspect all of DD's food issues are. I also want to make sure I'm doing the right thing in the elimination diets and eliminating foods she reacts to, and get some advice on when to re-introduce foods and how to do trials. I'd also like to know if I really need to strictly avoid foods she reacts to (she has minor reactions that take several days of exposure to a food to appear) and if there's any evidence/studies done that show that avoidance increases chances of outgrowing. I think that's about all that's on my list.
