Pinching while nursing.. HeLp!

Ds ia almost 10m and he will pinch and silky my skin while nursing. It HURTS! I try to take his hands away when he does it too my arms and he gets upset. I started putting a sock over the hand that is under my arm. I dont mind him doing it too my breast b/c they are nothing but flabby skin anyways (LOL), but how can I stop him doing it to my arms. I dont always remeber a sock when in public. Anyone been through this and how did you stop it?
Is it okay for me to let him continue to silky my boobie skin?

Thanks a bunch!

Ah, the pinching. My daughter did that for the longest time. Still does from time to time. The only thing you can do is tell him that it hurts Mommy and hold his hand. If it's really a problem, you can unlatch him when he pinches and set him down and walk away for a minute -- he'll get the idea that pinching makes the milk go away.

What do you mean, "silky"? Do you mean like petting your skin? It's absolutely ok. Babies thrive on touch, and it's soothing for them. I always find it relaxing when my daughter does that to me... she pets my chest, my stomach, my face, whatever she can reach. I prefer it to the pinching and smacking, that's for sure. It's definitely not a problem, unless it bothers you in some way.

I wear a breastfeeding necklace. It had beads on it and on the end is a polished hematite stone. My son loved to play with it while he nursed from about 4 months. He still plays with it on occasion.
It really helped with distracting him so he wouldn't pinch.

Yep, I agree. Don't forget that kids understand about 3x what you think they do!! So set a boundary and follow through. After being set down a couple times, the pinching will stop.

I agree with Shianne - try a nursing necklace. They can really help with those pinching hands!
