I remember posts of proudhsmommy's Ruby at her funeral and thinking how lovely the pictures turned out. I was a bit hesitant to post her picture at first but my husband was the one who convinced me. He said that it doesn't matter what others think if it makes us feel better. And sharing how beautiful she is made us feel good. Because even though she isn't with me right now doesn't mean that I'm not a proud mother. I also had wallets made for the two of us so that we can carry her picture around with us and look anytime we want.
Honestly....I am honored that you shared her with us.

I just wanted to check in here to let everyone know that our family is doing well. We are healing and are thankful for everyone's kind words. And to all who noticed, yes, I think Calliope is beautiful too

As time passes it all gets easier. I feel like I am moving on but somedays I am not sure I want to, ykwim? Kind of like I am leaving her behind. On those days I look at her pictures a lot and smell the little hat we had on her head before we decided her hair looked too nice to cover up. Today I even pulled out my old locket and put her picture facing my other dd. I like feeling her a bit closer to me when I walk around wearing my necklace.

I am so grateful to everyone here at mdc, especially in the Pregnancy and Birth Loss forum. Funny how I never even noticed that there was such a forum, huh? I've even had 3 pregnancies with the 2nd a m/c and Calliope's stillbirth the 3rd. I don't know why I never noticed, not even after my m/c. Maybe I noticed but wasn't ready for it. I can't really remember.... Or I just didn't want to acknowledge it until I needed something after Calliope's death. I spend a lot of time over there. I don't post a ton but I am there reading everything. It is very cathartic and I see so much support from other moms and dads who have gone through the exact same experience. Thank you to you all for helping me.
