To the ladies: Do traditional eating guys turn you on?

just curious... how many of you actually care what a guy eats? If you found one eating TF would you find him more or less attractive... or neutral effect?

I have met ZERO people male or female around my age that eat like me

Oh yes, it's huge. I have eaten mostly this way for years and it really irks me when my husband eats crap for lunch. I can't control him but it disappoints me and bothers me. And I can see his health deteriorate. After 14 years with me, I would have expected him to know more about how to eat but he just cops out and expects me to think for him on this subject. :

It bothers me a lot when he feeds this stuff to my girls or eats it in front of them at barbecues and such.

ahh.. at least in this case it is the mothers diet that is more important, so it is well that you are the one who is savvy . But i think the mans diet is important to if he wants to have kids.......

I think it's important to eat similar foods, especially when raising a family!
My Dh eats whatever I make, sweetie....
But, I have a feeling that if he were ever without me for a long period of time he would probably eat crap!
I do most of the cooking, so he probably doesn't know how to cook most of the foods we eat.
Although, we are working on this...being preg. I can't stand to cook, for some reason...so I give him "orders" of what and how to cook.

It would totally turn me on if dh ate TF all on his own and enjoyed it! Unfortunately, this is not the case.

I think the reason it would be a turn on is because it would be less of a struggle for me. I have to deal with the weird looks and faces he makes when eating some TF foods. He is pretty good about at least trying something and I appreciate that. It would also make we worry less about what he's feeding the kids if I go out, or if he is out with them.

Less struggle and worry would make more room in my mind for more steamy thoughts!

Me too...it does totally turn me on when dh is into the healthy food, and totally off when he asks me to get him mountain dew (when he's got a deadline).
And one of my firends has really gotten into fermenting lately and...well....I feel strangely aroused around him now

Eating healthy is attractive! I like it when a man cares about what he puts in his body.

Even more attractive....when he cooks it himself and serves it to me!! I was just excited when dh went to a TF potluck when Sandor Katz was speaking and seemed to enjoy it. I think women hate feeling like they are dragging a guy to be healthy...it takes a lot of energy!

Ditto that! It's sexy when a man takes care of his body. My husband eats complete crap most of the time (or doesn't eat at all) and it majorly pisses me off. He will eat good food if I cook it for him, but when he's on his own he doesn't care what he eats as long as it fills him up. I can't stand that! Doesn't he want to live a long healthy life?

Regarding TF specifically, yes I think it is more attractive and "manly" for a guy to be eating a high-protein diet with lots of meat and eggs, than it is for a guy to be eating wimpy soy burgers and low-fat breakfast cereal--but that's just my opinion! A veg*n woman might find a TF guy gross...

Even more sexy than a man who eats TF is a man who actually grows or raises his own food. Yum! I love farmers!

daaaang, yes, guys who actually eat healthy are uber sexy. certainly beats out guys who eat junk food all the time like my dh. : he will eat hardly any of my cooking, and that really bums me out! i'm not that bad of a cook! but he'd rather eat his storebought cookies and wonder why he feels so bad all of the time and is gaining weight. i have a friend who is into TF, Vonderplonitz type deal and it aggravates me to think that my husband could be like that but chooses not to.

eta: i actually have two friends my age that are into TF, but one of them is still ill because he's trying to overcome a lot of crap, possible lyme infection, adrenal fatigue, etc. which led him to TF.

We're married to the same man! DH won't eat most of my cooking either (and not because I'm a bad cook either). He gets take out restaurant food all the time iand is blowing our budget! He tried a few TF things in the beginning, didn't like them, and now gives anything I cook (minus a few things like egg sandwiches and a few simple Mexican dishes) the hairy eyeball. He's SO hooked on junk, is overweight and has rapidly deteriorating health. Sigh. I've decided it's not for me to nag him into being someone different. It's counterproductive anyway. I've taken a vow of silence regarding what he eats! It's ALOT harder to stay silent when he want to feed DS junk, though!

And YES, it would be a major turn-on if he took interest in eating healthfully. But he manages to turn me on anyway...

Did you all steal my husband? My man is the same way. He could care less about his health and chugs 24-48 cans of coke a week. Its disgusting! He gave some to the kids because they we thirsty! I gave him the death look, but didn't say anything. Its getting harder and harder to watch him destroy his health. I want him to be around for a long time but eating cheesebugers and coke is not going to do that!

Yeah, my DH is a coke addict (the kind you drink!). I HATE IT. And I thought my man was one of a kind...
