Is 7 wks too early to be showing?

This is my 2nd baby. Now, I know that you show earlier the 2nd time around, but I didn't expect the bulge that I have now. Especially at 7 wks!
I keep thinking that it must the morning sickness/needing to snack frequently that is just making me fat. But I have not gained any weight, I am the exact same. I had a wedding to go to over the weekend and it was SO OBVIOUS with the dress I wore. I hadn't tried it on in 2 weeks and I didn't dream that this would happen, so that is all I had brought to wear.

Is anyone else showing already?

I don't know if you could completely call it "showing" but there is a bludge there. I can't tell if its just bloating or what b/c I've had some bad gas and just a sick stomach. I'm not throwing up and I can't let my stomach get empty or I get terribly nausiated and no throwing up to relieve it, just dry heaves if anything. But I'm already haveing to use the hair band trick for my pants. Can't button them anymore. This will be my second (my third pregnacy).

My belly is so bloated! I was 5 months with dd before I looked like this!

I was about 7 weeks when I started poking out! Since you've had a child everything is all nice and stretched out. So as soon as your uterus starts growing a little everything else "remembers" the drill and starts shifting and moving to accomadate the new growth. Plus, since your muscles and ligiments have already been stretched your uterus will grow and move up in the pelvis sooner. And some of it is probably bloating too! I've actaully lost 2 pounds (I know, nothing to get excited about) and I look the same at 10 weeks as I did at 6 months with DD!

I am 8 weeks and suddenly my lower belly is sticking out now too! I checked out the week by week pregnancy guide on storknet and this is the time if you poke out if you have already had babies.

I did not expect the show this early either even though this is #2!!! Oh well. Lots of my maternity clothes are cuter than my normal clothes

Oh yeah. I had the "I cannot close any of my pants" realization the other day. I have no summer maternity clothes because I didn't show forever with DD. It's sort of unpleasent to make the wardrobe switch so soon!

I'm so glad to have found this thread. This is my first pregnancy and I'm only at 12 weeks and my boss asked if I was showing when he saw my huge bloated belly.

nice to know I'm not alone.

I'm 9 weeks and not showing yet, and it's my second pregnancy. Maybe you all have super flat tummies, so it's easy to see a change. I definitely have the bloat going on, though!

I think the way it works is that if you have abdominal muscles, the bloating makes you cramp more. If you have "form" then your stomach muscles run away around to your hips as quickly as possible to try and avoid the inevitable trauma and so your intestines can just pop straight out.
PLUS most women in the first trimester are so knackered that they forget to pay attention to their posture...

interesting theory.lol My muscles definitely run and hide or something. They haven't seemed to work right since dd was born via c-section. With ds, my OB stitched themback together while he was sewing me up But they just haven't been the same. I haven't seen them for quite awhile
