JULY TTC in our 20s! - Page 3

If you pee in a cup, then you only have to dip the test for 10 seconds instead of trying to extend the length of peeing. It's easier, and works the same!

cd 118 here.

wow Kelly... I never wished anybody their period so badly...

songbird:
do you know if you change your CM pattern (i.e. watery to more creamy or something?) Then you could start having sex later. or maybe once every OTHER day for a couple more days??

dilemma here: we do not want to try this cycle because I have been sick last weekend and this weekend too. My temps are still low, ovusoft tells me I should O, well, yesterday. I have some stretchy CM tonight. So we could either now try even though I was sick only yesterday and had a whole bottle of coke and would be concerned about some virus in me. Plus DH wants things to be all romantic, he has continually complained about the sperm stealing You can never do it right, now more sex is not enough??? So I think I should let the egg pass and gear my body up for next month...but it is tempting *sigh*. I also have unfortunately read about sex selection and if O is THAT close it seems I might force it for a boy but do I want that? Do I believe in the method?? thinking about all this alone stops me from trying tonight

Well, our local "dollar" store is kind of expensive, so I don't go there much. I ended up buying generic Fred Meyer tests.

re peeing in a cup: d'oh, why didn't I think of that? *headdesk*

So how long does semen actually hang around after bd? I'm having the worst time telling what's semen and what's my cm.

Monday check in. . . .

Monday
Name: Grumpy
Date: 7/8/07
Where are you at in your cycle: CD16
Appointments: None until CD 3 next cycle
Symptoms if they apply: Crankiness
Testing: Nope. Nothing to test for.
Thoughts: At first I didn't feel cranky, but now I'm realizing that this next cycle is my last shot because I'm moving hours and hours away and starting a PhD program, and, and, and, so I'll have to find a new clinic, get started with a new sperm bank, etc. Also, my doc is pushing me toward IVF if this next cycle doesn't take. Grrr. I may just go the at-home route if I can swing it financially/practically, which may mean re-exploring the idea of a known donor and/or co-parent(s) and many more months of negotiations.

I'm just waiting to start bleeding, and I know that it should start after I stop taking these $#!!!!! pills on Thursday, so probably by next Monday.

The SPERM can hang out up to 4 days alive inside you. Creepy, huh? The seminal fluid usually clears itself out within 12-24 hours in my personal experience. If you're checking CM, wipe away what's on the outside, but make sure you bear down before BD and chart on its merits.

Monday Check-In

Name: Songbird
Date: 7/9/07
Where are you at in your cycle: CD28
Appointments: None
Symptoms if they apply: Nope
Testing: Nope
Thoughts: I feel like I'm gearing up to O, but I have no objective evidence to back that up. Every so often I see something stretchy but the vast majority of my cm when I check is creamy. It is thinning out a bit, it seems, does that make it watery? I wish I'd just see some clear signs! My sleep has been terribly disrupted the last few nights so I'm not sure on the accuracy of my temps, but they seem to be staying low so I'm at least sure I haven't O'd yet!

Name: Jenna

Where are you at in your cycle: CD24
Appointments: Test tomorrow?
Symptoms if they apply: As of this AM: cramps, diarrhea, nausea, headache - no fever, no AF
Testing: see above.
Thoughts: I have never had an AF like this and I'm really curious what's going on in my body at this point. I took a cheap-o test this AM and it didn't read but it's likely too early to tell if I am 10dpo. Pray for us! We're hoping for a little sprout!

I guess you should remove me from the pregnant list. I am losing the baby. Sonogram and bloodwork confirm a miscarriage.

Tuesday Check-In

Date: 7/10/07
Cycle Day: cd 22, 7 dpo
Appointments: None
Symptoms: Nothing yet. I've been feeling a little queasy in the morning after breakfast for the last couple of days, but I suspect that doesn't mean anything.
Testing: Not until at least the 17th, when AF is due.
Thoughts: I think we put in a good effort this month. Last cycle I think we just missed the egg - this time I think we timed things right. We'll see.

I've also read 3-5 days, but my assumption is that it's on the shorter end of that .......unless you have ultra fertile CM for several days.

I sure don't!
