I find that during pregnancy I'm extra-drippy, but I know a lot of women prefer to go commando during pregnancy even if they're not generally that sort. It's entirely personal. I personally can't even stand those soft underpants that make you feel like you're not wearing any.

I usually wear cotton bikini, size med or lg, and I just sized up to x-large for the last pregnancy. They fit fine, but dh called them my "granny panties". I think I'll try to find something both cute and comfy this time around. I wore a lot of boyshort style with my first pregnancy, but I was a very trim 19 year old at the time so I don't know if that style would work for me anymore.
