Yeast infection ...what do you do ??

So for yeast infections while pregnant ..what can i take ? my ob told me it was ok to use monistat or femstat .. can i take probiotics or something similar ?

I killed one with garlic supplements and acidopholus capsules, both used, um, suppositorily. One of each a couple of times a day. Took about 3 days to clear up.

Not in your DDC (yet!) but lurking...

Anyway, yes--garlic (insert a couple of cloves and leave them there overnight), probiotic powder, and plain yogurt (get Stonyfield Farms--it's got the most live cultures, plus it's organic) are all really effective. You can put them on a tampon (the powder and yogurt, anyway) or make it into an, erm, fun game with dh! You should probably eat some of the yogurt too. Personally, I would wait and see how the natural treatments go before trying the drugs.
