This is Jo's husband posting for her right now.
Hi!
Anyway, contractions started up at 1am and by 9am we had a baby. Jo pushed for 20 minutes laying down and then got up to push. After 2 pushes in the squating position our little girl was born.
Both of my girls are sleeping right now and my mother in law is cooking up a storm to feed all of us.
I'm sure Jo will be on later to tell you all the details but for now she wanted me to tell all you nice ladies that Adrienne is here.

My water broke at around 7pm on July 3rd. I started to get ready for the birth by really just cleaning up a lot. At 10pm we called my MW and she said that she would come over and keep me company even though I didn't have any contractions yet. She helped me shave my legs(which for some reason was really important to me) and even baked cookies in the kitchen with my mom and me. She knew by just looking at me that labor would be coming soon so after we had some icecream we set her up in one of our guestrooms.
At midnight I layed down and then about an hour later I got out of bed to pee and that's when the contractions started. From 1am-3am they were 5minutes apart and mostly just like tight period crampiness. Around 4am they got pretty bad and I started to feel very nauseous(transition most likely). I got in our jacuzzi bath tub and put the jets right on my back. I fell asleep in the tub for about 2 hours. I found out after the fact that my poor DH sat there awake the whole time because he thought I might drown in my sleep.
At 6:30am I agreed to be checked and she told me I was 8cm's. I think since I realized I was so close it made me feel powerful and all womanly, if that makes sense. We went downstairs and I somehow managed to do laundry through the contraction that were coming every 3 minutes. My mom made omlettes, bacon, and toast and by that point I was ravenous. It must have been quite the sight to see a naked pg woman shoving her face full of food with a trash can right next to me just in case.
Once I finished my food I went upstairs and got in the birth tub. I had my DH bring me my laundry and I started folding all my receiving blankets. That's when the contractions got really hard to breathe through. After I finished folding a blanket I would end up squeezing it to get through the pain. I never screamed but DH told me that during that time I kind of moo-d like a cow.
At 7:45am she told me I was complete but there was a lip and that she wanted to wait for it to push aside by itself. At 8:00 baby's head got past it and I started to push in a semi laying down position in the pool. After 20mins she had barely descended past my cervix so my MW wanted me to stand up so she could check. Once I stood up I really had to push and she told me to go ahead. With my DH behind me I used him as leverage to stand up and 2 pushed later my MW caught her. After she was out I fell back against my DH and I really felt weird. I had him grab the trash can and there came all my yummy food.
The placenta came after 3 more pushes and my MW started to examine it because she was so tiny. Adrienne is perfect. Tons of black hair and the cutest little eyes and very pouty lips. We haven't left bed except to use the bathroom and my DH is taking great care of us. She takes a few minutes to latch but once she's on she'll stay on each side for about 45 minutes. I always thought babies slept when they nurse but she spends a good amount of time just looking at me. When she's not nursing though she is the perfect sleeping beauty.
My MW came back today with the pediatrician she affiliates with and the Dr. gave Adrienne a clean bill of health and told us she's just tiny.
I know that's long, but it was such an experience. I'll try to get pictures up sometime soon. We haven't taken many, so I know I need to document this experience.
