Me: DD, please put your things away.

DD: My don't want to...

Me: But you put your things away at the nursery, don't you? Doesn't Francesca (her teacher) tell you to put things away when you have finished using them?

DD: Yes but, but that is at the nursery. At the nursery, my put things away. At home, my don't put things away. [Big grin on face]

Absolutely....all the preschool and now school reports say dd is helpful, manages her time well, courteous, neat...you name it...

At home (I guess where she can relax?), its DD please take out the trash (she is 9) - no answer...DD! ...grumble, grumble...FINE!!!!! then forgets the recycling and god forbid I ask her to straighten (didn't say clean) her room so I can vacuum without sucking up a "treasure"....sigh...

DD isn't even 2 yet, and we're starting to run into that Angel at school, Devil at home situation.

It's cute now. At 9? I don't think it'll be so cute for me. :P

We have that too. I hear my dd (1 1/2) lays down on her mat and goes to sleep all by herself, no complaining. I'm sure they must be thinking of a different child!

Oh, I kissed the nap at home goodbye a long time ago. She will nap at the nursery no problem but mommy has no (or very little) authority when it comes to that.
