Does your partner come to all your prenatals? (follow-up ? #52) - Page 4

My husband has come to all of my prenatals... he has to miss work, but so do I! I like having be as much part of the process as possible, as does he. Even though this is my body, I like to think of it as something we're doing together, so even when the prenatal appointment is boring and it's not totally convenient for him to be there, we both think it's important that he come along. That's just our situation, though! I think what matters is what is important to you and your family.

My man and son come to all the prenatals. He doesn't say much, just sits back and listens but he loves hearing the heartbeat and feeling the position of the baby.

My midwife wanted to get to know DH a little at least, but certainly didn't REQUIRE attendance at all, except for the 36 week "home visit" where she, her apprentice AND back up midwife came to the house to go over everything for labor. DH is self-employed and his work his seasonal (usually about April - November) and dd was born in October. So almost my entire pregnancy was during his work season...when you only work 8 months out of the year, time off during that season is hard to come by and she was very understanding of that.
