There's wheat in her shampoo!!

I bought some kid's shampoo from Jason's, and have been using it for about a month on all my kids. Last night, while washing dd's hair, I looked at the bottle and noticed that it said "Whole wheat proteins!" First of all, I can't BELIEVE I didn't see that before. She is allergic to wheat. Is this going to be a problem? When she eats wheat, she gets diarrhea and her eczema flares up, she doesn't get hives like with her other food allergies. So far the shampoo doesn't seem to have bothered her, but should I quit using it on her?
Feeling kind of dumb! :

I *think* (don't quote me!) that it will only be a problem if she gets some in her mouth while shampooing. I personally would stop using it. It doesn't happen often, but every now and then I've got some shampoo or soap in my mouth. Not a ton, but enough to taste and if you can taste it that's enough. I switched my hand soap (made with oatmeal which is often cross contaminated) when I realized that after I washed my hands I could still smell the perfume so I *might* have oat still on me. Paranoid, maybe, but it wasn't such a big deal to just find another soap.

Oh, sorry, you were talking wheat allergy. I know from gluten Close, but no cigar. It might not be the same as gluten but I would still switch, just for peace of mind. You don't have to waste it. Let the rest of the family use it and just get her another.

We used California Baby products when DS was on a total elimination diet. We just wanted to be extra careful. The label on the shampoo says it is free of gluten, nut, etc., all the common allergens. It's expensive but we don't wash his hair every day and you don't have to use a lot, so for us it's lasted a long time.

I've had a hard time finding allergen free shampoo that I can use on DD (who reacts to wheat and corn). Even the California Baby has corn derivitives. We've been just using pure olive oil soap or a teeny tiny bit of Dr. Bronner's baby.
