teacher training

Can anyone recommend a good distance learning teacher training program? I was looking at one offerred by the North American Montessori Center but I don't really know anything about it other than through their website. Are there any other reputable programs? I would like to complete some sort of program and eventually work as an assistant teacher and/or volunteer at my DD's school. Thanks.

The school where i work offered the elementary trainning last summer. It was great as an introduction, but its very important that you work the materials and get to know them, so after the trainning i spent a year as an assistant. Now im pregnat, due in november, so this year its gonna be for observation and practice with materials. You cannot do that with a distance learning program. I dont think you can inmerse yourself in the philosophy that way. In my opinion a summer course is better, and there are many in the US(i live and work in mexico).
good luck!
