anyone else showing? - Page 2

Yup - pants are getting tight at only week 7, and DD said I was getting fat!

I think it's just bloating - that's supposed to be pretty common. Also I slowed down on the exercise, and upped the appetite, so it's not really all that surprising....

On the other hand, I started showing earlier with baby #2 as well - with my first I didn't have to start moving into larger sizes until month 4! Maybe your muscles just never really bounce back, and then when those hormones get going they relax out? :

I think I still had pudge from my 1 yo, now I'm just bloated so it's sticking out...I think I will be noticbly showing before too long. I knew I wanted to lose all the weight before I got preggers again..just didn't get around to it sooner LOL! I guess now I have a good excuse for that belly!

I'm "fluffy" (just lost 28 pounds before getting my BFP) so I'll have a while. It will be tough when I have to move to mat clothes due to the pants just not fitting, though.

I went to put on some black pants and they were too small. I would have thought I'd be losing weight after giving up alcohol and all the brie, etc that I love so much.

It doesn't just feel like bloating either.

This is my first. It's very exciting.

just fyi, if the brie is made with pasteurized milk, it's safe to eat while pregnant. pasteurization kills the listeria bacteria that make soft cheeses a risk to pregnant women.

as for the original question, most people couldn't tell I was pregnant if I wore baggy clothes until I was almost 5-6 months along with Andy. Now, I'm a little poofy, but that's mostly extra skin. I can still fit into my skinny jeans and all my skirts. which is good, because maternity clothes are not in the budget right now.

Okay I just want to admit I was so wrong in my earlier post.

I'm amazed at how much I am showing at 6 weeks.

Today a man I had never seen before in my life looked at my belly and said, "Well, it looks like you're expecting a new little one." I told him that yes I was. But I was totally amazed that complete strangers know I'm pregnant at 6 weeks!

It makes me wonder even more if I'm expecting twins. This will be my 4th and I've never showed anywhere near this early before.

here's a pic at 6 wks

wow cheri!

I'm showing a bit too, but this is only my second pregnancy. I did have someone ask when I was due over the weekend.

My 6 week pic is in the belly thread sticky.

I am so glad to see other mamas who feel huge already! (i mean no offence by that! : )
I post on another website and the women who said they were feeling big and looking pregnant already got some nasty messages from people saying it was impossible and they were either just gassy or had put on weight
I thought it was so rude. So i didnt speak up at all, but seriously, I feel big.
Im not "showing" as such, but my waist has thickened so much. I rememebr by 5 weeks with my first i had trouble doing up buttons on my jeans and skirts - so it stands to reason that it would be as bad if not worse with my second!

Seriously, I was wearing these empire line tops and I do look pregnant already!!! Its getting hard to keep my mouth shut about being pregnant - people know we were trying and they'll start asking questions soon!

I'm not "showing" and I haven't gained any weight (in fact, I've lost a couple of pounds but I always do that early in my pregnancies) but my clothes are getting tighter! I was wearing shorts and a fairly tight t-shirt Saturday and I felt like I had too much of a tummy so I changed clothes before we saw the in-laws since we're not telling anyone yet. So, I do have a bit of a tummy but I think that's just because this is my 3rd pregnancy and maybe everything is just stretching out earlier or something. Oh-I also don't know how far along I am. From my guessing, I'm somewhere between 6-10 weeks along and I started wearing maternity clothes with ds at about 13 or 14 weeks, so that could explain it. Now, with dd I didn't start really showing until about 6 months.....

I'm bloaty. There is a definete differerence, but I can tell its just bloaty. I'm also having trouble wearing my wedding ring, even though I never have trouble towards the end of pregnancy, I always do at the begining.

Wow, you definitely look preggers! So I gotta ask you. . are you sure your dates are right?

Since my babe is about the size of an apple seed (I'm 5 weeks), there's definitely no showing going on here. I didn't noticeably show with my first until 23-24 weeks, so I'm thinking I can make it until at least 20 with this one. I actually thought the large belly was rather uncomfortable.: :

I just weighed myself this morning expecting to see some high numbers...I'm showing some and I was convinced I'd gained weight. Nope! I've lost 5 lbs in two weeks!
nope, not showing yet.

Have all of you added your photos to the belly photos sticky? I'm dying to see these little baby bumps you speak of

My stomach looks normal for about 1-2 hours after I wake up. Then the gradual bloating starts! By the end of the day, if I relax my abs, I look 4 months pregnant!

What causes all this bloating? Is it the slowing of your digestion? Retaining water? Both?

I so agree, I"m probably 8w or so, but my snug shorts are now too tight. It's all at my waist and lower belly right now. I'm hoping to hide it till 12w but I'm not sure I can do it!
