Its 15 minutes a day IF 80% of your body is exposed.

If a person builds up sun exposure slowly as in 15 minutes a day, it greatly helps to prevent burning.

Also sunscreen from what I have read, doesn't protect from the UV rays that actually do the greatest damage.

A great number of people in the USA are suffering from vitamin D deficiencies. It manifests itself in many health problems.

Dr David Williams in his newsletter had quite a lot of info on vitamin D, sunscreen a few months ago.

As a teen and young adult, I tanned, never planned to burn, but did many times anyway. Don't we all "tan" as teens to build up a "tan"? Now, as an adult, I have had many cancerous spots removed due to my "tanning". So yes, I believe wholeheartedly in sunblock and I am surprised how many people dismiss the concerns to their children. Maybe if you don't know anyone with skin cancer, it doesn't seem real. I just have to look at my scars to know too much sun is very dangerous. I also don't believe building up a tan prevents cancer since you only have to look at a person who has tanned for years to see the damage in their skin. I wish my mom had known more about sun block and helped me prevent the fear that I live with now of melamona re-occuring.

We use Sunscreen and honestly I can't think of what it's called right now!

I know sunBURN is not good for you, at least IMO but my kids are tan and that's fine by me. I agree some sun exposure is a good thing!
