Breastfeeding help? - Page 2

As far as breastfeeding pillows go i didn't like the Boppy too much, i got a "my breast friend" pillow and I found it to be the best one for me, I'm a heavy mom with 42H boobs when I nursed my son (I'm expecting a similar size this time) and the boppys always felt like they were built for much smaller women than me.

I have large breasts too. I am going to try just a few pillows at first and see how it goes, but am open to other suggestions too.

Yes, that's the newer updated version. I can't say enough about it...I can understand how LLL views can/do turn mothers off, esp those who don't parent as we do and never will. But, he goes beyond that, and really does know his stuff, esp for a man. Can't wait to see him in a few weeks at LLL's Int'l Conference.

I am a dedicated and active LLL memember -- but i do not really like their books. : : : : I just am not a fan of the writting style with soooooooooooo many quotes from 'real life moms" and some of the soooooooooooo loooong. they break up the reading too much in my opinion and make getting the hard cold data harder...... JMO : : :

AITN was one of the best i have read -- and i have a number of them and have read them -- i do not have the Problem Slover so i can't address that one.

I am fine with the thoughts and idea of the LLL -- but the presentaion -- in book form -- has never impressed me.

I will add that book to my list, thanks for a new resource.

My sister could have written this post. she got the new pillow and loves it a lot more than the boppy she had for her older son -- even sent me one that Theo has stolen and won't return -- it is as big as him

I think -- from knowing sis -- the "trick" of bigger boobs is working on a wait to support the boob and the baby -- it has always been more a challange to her than me

they HURT -- the nipples -- they never hurt with t's pregancy ..... but I didn't have a baby nurseing on them THEN either.... now they hurt to rub on the sheet in bed OUCH and so on ....

but by this point in T's pregancy i had gorwn a lot -- nothing this time, i am at my "before Theo" size having lost all the size i gained with him ... and i have not gotten bigger this time.

I am assumeing this doens't matter as t is still nurseing and I have 20 months of nurseing under my belt .... still making milk now at week 23 .....

I am looking forward to an end to PAIN -- shirt hurt, rubbing on the sheets hurt, nurseing hurts...... Theo has start kneeling on the nipple laying on the bed when he tries to climb over me in bed and there is NO discription of THAT pain -- pinched between his knee and the bed.....with 21 pound on it.....
