So swwet: 5yo nurses her doll in grocery store

It's so cute! She's big into playing Mommy lately and takes her baby everywhere. This week while grocery shopping I looked over at her to see her latching her baby on!! (She really puts her baby doll to her nipple too) I smiled and she said, "she's hungry so I'll nurse her as we shop."

I wish I had my camera with me.

I don't nurse her or her sister anymore. So she doesn't even see me doing that! Maybe she remembers it?? Or it just seems natural to her. Either way, it's wonderful! Just sharing a cute story with you all!

My 2 1/2 year old son insists on nursing his bear every night before bed! It's so sweet to see them in such a nurturing way!

awwww

Both my DDs have or had nursed their babies. I was scared when DD#1 was in preschool - i thought they would freak out if she did it - but i never heard anything about it

I do wonder if DS will nurse any of his babies/bears (yes - he has a baby doll too!).. since he is my last its not as if he'll get to grow up seeing me nurse a baby himself

That is sweet!

My 4 yo (son!) has recently been telling me "Look, I'm nursing my friends (his stuffed toys) just like you give baby noonies!". He knows that mommies have milk, and not little boys, but he does it anyway--I think he views it as an act of love and nurture and the automatic thing to do if any of his stuffed animals "feel sad".
