GBS - what immune boosters did you use?

I'm 37 wks and just found out I'm GBS (+). I'm not going to do abx, and will use Hibiclens rinses during labor. I'd like to do as much as I can beforehand, though. So what did you do? I already take vit C/bioflavinoids, and am trying to figure out what else to do. Also, any info on Hibiclens rinses prior to labor making any difference? I'd love to hear your experiences!

I have never tested positive but... my midwife is +. At my last appt.she shared with me that she has been a human guinea pig for all of the "cures" for lack of a better word and NOTHING has worked, she said she has tried about 20 different things. I thought that was very interesting and just wanted to share. IPTH and that you have an awesome uneventful birth.

I was GBS+ and didn't do anything during labor. I was only going to treat according to risk factors, and I didn't meet any of them. I went into labor at 39 weeks, and my water broke while I was pushing, 20 minutes before DS was born. I would visualize your water being intact until the end.

Beforehand, I didn't do anything special except try to test negative by taking lots of garlic and probiotics.

I'm planning on not testing with this birth.

I had a HB in April and I tested +. I started taking probiotics, vit c, and garlic (oral and vaginal)- as soon as I found out. When labor started I did the hibiclens douche. I didnt have any of the risk factors ( temp above 100.4, PROM greater than 18 hours) so I declined the antibiotics.

Now it seems like an easy decision but I drove my self crazy thinking about it when I was pregnant.

I tested negative, but I did take a lot of supp's before testing, such as:

GSE (pill not liquid)
TONS of probiotics (orally and vaginally)
Garlic, orally

additionally, my mw rec'd
vit c
echinacea
cup of blueberries daily

Thanks, everyone. I think I'll be adding probiotics and echinacea to my regime. Let me know if there are any other pearls of wisdom out there!
