I finally got my belly cast done. Only a week later than I'd planned. I'm now ready for this little cuddly baby to come out. I also had my midwife appointment today and I'm measuring 41.5 weeks! I'm 38 weeks. I'm afraid this baby is going to be giant.

Mama in PA--nice belly cast!!! I did one before Christmas as a present to my husband. It doesn't fit anymore One day I was looking for a particular bra, and couldn't find it, and couldn't find it, and couldn't find it and was getting really frustrated when I noticed that my belly cast had it on. I thought that was pretty funny of my husband.

OMGoodness that's so funny! I was very close to having to sacrifice my undies to the belly-cast but luckily the plaster wasn't too hard yet and they came loose, albeit with some serious effort. I made sure to wear the ones that were expendable anyway just in case. I did lose some precious body hair which was less than pleasant. It would seem that the "forest" now covers acreage beyond the protection of my undies. I was unaware of this plight since I can't see it until I ripped out a strip just above the top elastic as I was pulling the cast away. It definitely brought tears to my eyes.
